This position provides for dedicated capacity to carry out monitoring and evaluation (M&amp;E) of ecological interventions and restoration activities in existing project areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>South Africa<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following activities will be required from the successful applicant<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiarize yourself with CSA\u2019s M&amp;E protocols by attending a start-up training and self-study;<\/li>\n<li>Conduct a quarterly online survey using the CSA M&amp;E framework;<\/li>\n<li>Assist to conduct field surveys as required;<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate the secure data management of GIS and other data according to an agreed data management plan;<\/li>\n<li>Participate in presenting findings from the online survey to CSA during quarterly reports and bi-annual MERL (Monitoring Evaluation and Learning) sessions;<\/li>\n<li>Assist the M&amp;E Manager to refine existing M&amp;E frameworks of both CSA and partners;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in updating MERL, M&amp;E (CSA and NRM) protocol documents as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant Honors degree in natural sciences, M&amp;E or relevant science discipline;<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency using Excel and preferably R data software;<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in using GIS software such as QGIS and ArcGIS;<\/li>\n<li>A supporting qualification in M&amp;E and NRM measurement is preferred;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This position will be on a 12-month contract with a salary of R11 000. 00 per month, based in the CSA Landscape offices in\u00a0Matatiele, Eastern Cape.<\/p>\n<p><b>To Apply<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Please submit your abbreviated CV (no longer than 3 pages) with contact details of three referees with a cover letter :\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:csa-jobs@conservation.org\">csa-<strong>jobs@conservation.org<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the reference\u00a0M&amp;E-EC-CSA)Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Friday, 24 May, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Conservation South Africa, as a local affiliate of Conservation International, is committed to helping societies adopt a more sustainable approach to development\u2014one that considers and values nature at every turn&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
