{"id":4659,"date":"2012-03-22T02:01:30","date_gmt":"2012-03-22T00:01:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=4659"},"modified":"2013-10-13T10:29:17","modified_gmt":"2013-10-13T08:29:17","slug":"murray-roberts-south-africa-bursaries-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/murray-roberts-south-africa-bursaries-2012.html","title":{"rendered":"Murray &#038; Roberts South Africa Bursaries 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Murray &amp; Roberts Bursaries 2012<\/h2>\n<p>Murray &amp; Roberts offers bursaries for top South African achievers who desire to be part of a world class organization with a global presence.<\/p>\n<p>Bursaries are available for students studying towards a\u00a0<em>BSc, B Eng or B Tech qualifications in the fields of Engineering (civil; mechanical; industrial; electrical and mining), Quantity Surveying and Building\/Construction Management<\/em>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chemical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Civil Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Construction Management<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Industrial Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Metallurgical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Mining Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Process Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Quantity Surveying<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Regrettably no first year bursaries are available for 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Murray &amp; Roberts is committed to the principles of Employment Equity.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What does the bursary cover?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Successful applicants enter into a bursary loan agreement with Murray &amp; Roberts.<br \/>\n<strong>The benefits while studying full time include the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The company pays to the institution concerned, an amount of money equal to the annual registration fees, costs of tuition &amp; examination fees.<\/li>\n<li>The company pays for all prescribed books.<\/li>\n<li>The company pays for university provided (residential) accommodation and food or the student may receive an equivalent monthly allowance to assist with his\/her living expenses and this must be utilised to cover accommodation, food and traveling expenses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>How will my progress be monitored?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Bursaries are reviewed after each examination based on the student\u2019s academic performance and renewed annually. All bursaries are granted on merit but preference is given to black (Africans, Coloureds and Indian) applicants.<br \/>\nA Group Bursary Co-ordinator has been appointed to provide much needed support to our bursars. Our current graduate network is also available to the bursars for support.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What happens after graduation?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After graduation, the student will be required to work one year for every year of studies paid for by the company (including any suspension period).<br \/>\nIn-Service training periods are excluded from this period.
