Share information and engage with SSN&#8217;s Knowledge Management Hub on a regular basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Internal\/cross-regional collaboration and learning<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the Communications Coordinator to gather content and send out a monthly internal newsletter to the wider CDKN team<\/li>\n<li>Update the CDKN Google Drive with key documents and outputs<\/li>\n<li>Share information and engage with SSN\u2019s Knowledge Management hub on a regular basis in order to contribute to SSN\u2019s KM efforts. This may involve producing blogs and updates to SSN\u2019s website, providing updates for the SSN internal newsletter, and contributing to building SSN\u2019s communications systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Digital dissemination<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Upload and update approved content on the CDKN website<\/li>\n<li>Support digital dissemination of project material to key climate and development online knowledge portals<\/li>\n<li>Help to track and record all dissemination activities and evidence of impact<\/li>\n<li>Search for images for use in publications and on the website and manage the project\u2019s photograph archive<\/li>\n<li>Support the execution of webinars (approx. one every three months)<\/li>\n<li>Assist in cleaning up CDKN\u2019s Mailchimp database, removing unsubscribed contacts to comply with GDPR laws<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Global and regional outreach and engagement<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Update CDKN\u2019s events tracker on a weekly basis by searching for global events online and communicating with the other regional teams to make sure the tracker is up-to-date<\/li>\n<li>Arranging display stands and printed materials for global and regional events<\/li>\n<li>Helping to arrange regional and global events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Media engagement<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support in managing and growing CDKN\u2019s media database<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Communications Coordinator in terms of all media-related work, including pitching stories to the media, writing media releases, etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Design, photography and video<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with simple design and layout of brochures, documents, invitations, infographics, etc<\/li>\n<li>Photograph and video events and \u2018talking heads\u2019 interviews<\/li>\n<li>Prepare power point presentations and graphics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Monitoring and other tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help the Communications Coordinator to monitor and track all communications, including using google analytics, social media etc<\/li>\n<li>Assist with conducting annual user and expert surveys for publications<\/li>\n<li>Undertake general tasks as may be delegated from time to time which may not appear in this job description, e.g. assisting with CDKN meetings and events, taking minutes, etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A degree in communications and \/ or in climate change and\/or development<\/li>\n<li>Experience (one to two years\u2019) in communications, or a strong interest in communications<\/li>\n<li>Experience working within the nonprofit sector advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to learn, adapt and take on new tasks<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle multiple and competing tasks and deadlines<\/li>\n<li>English verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, WordPress, Google Analytics, social media platforms<\/li>\n<li>Photography skills, video skills and proficiency in desktop publishing and \/ or graphic design advantageous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Complete the Google Form available via SouthSouthNorth.org or at https:\/\/ <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1Z19DlE-vNnI01wrXkYV7EqkJzlVTBFom0PabWjppbWE\/edit\">Communications Assistant Application<\/a><\/strong> and provide three examples of your recent written work that would give us an indication of your writing ability, such as a newspaper article, blog, report, press release etc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Friday, 24 May, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SouthSouthNorth is a nonprofit organisation working on projects that promote\u00a0sustainable development and address climate change. &nbsp; Job Title: Communications Assistant for CDKN Job Location: Cape Town Remuneration:\u00a0R20\u00a0000 Duration: Two year&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[221],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>SSN Latest Employment Opportunity - Apply Here!
