{"id":46730,"date":"2019-05-17T09:30:20","date_gmt":"2019-05-17T07:30:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=46730"},"modified":"2019-05-16T17:00:11","modified_gmt":"2019-05-16T15:00:11","slug":"the-desmond-tutu-hiv-foundation-dthf-latest-job-opening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/the-desmond-tutu-hiv-foundation-dthf-latest-job-opening.html","title":{"rendered":"The Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation (DTHF) Latest Job Opening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation (DTHF) is a registered nonprofit organisation focused on the pursuit of excellence in research, treatment, training and prevention of HIV and related infections in Southern Africa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Study Coordinator\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location: <\/strong>Cape Town<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration: <\/strong>This is a fixed term contract ending 31 December 2020<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage a team of nurses, data staff and research assistants<\/li>\n<li>Support for research nurses with phlebotomy and specimen processing<\/li>\n<li>Establish and coordinate clinical trials from feasibility to archiving, including recruitment and enrolment, day-to-day management of study procedures, addressing data queries from monitoring. Working across several trials, in conjunction with other SCOs at GRO<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that ethical and regulatory requirements are fulfilled<\/li>\n<li>Ensure complete and accurate data collection<\/li>\n<li>Manage all study documentation (case report forms (CRFs), research materials, investigator files, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Quality Control of study documents \u2013 source and CRF\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Study Procedures \u2013 ensure staff are trained appropriately and study protocols are<\/li>\n<li>followed<\/li>\n<li>Interact with international and national principal and other investigators to ensure fulfilment of project goals<\/li>\n<li>Interact with local health facilities, study auditors, laboratory, etc<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to managing the research site and maintaining relationships with site stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Health-related Degree and 2019 registration with applicable department e.g. SANC registration<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of two years\u2019 experience as a Study Coordinator or Project Manager<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of two years\u2019 experience in staff management<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build interpersonal relationships and use these to manage study and site structure<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license and own transport<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) \/ Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and valid Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate beneficial<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working in the Gugulethu (or similar) community-based environment would be beneficial<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working with DAIDS studies would be beneficial<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of quality control, activities, systems and processes (QA\/QC) would be beneficial<\/li>\n<li>Detail oriented<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet)<\/li>\n<li>Work standards<\/li>\n<li>Problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Planning and organising<\/li>\n<li>Values fit:\u00a0 Passion Innovation Progress Integrity Respect Excellence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit CV, motivation letter with certified copy of highest qualification and details of three (3) current contactable referees to: Attention HR Manager <strong><a href=\"mailto:Jobs@hiv-research.org.za\">Jobs@hiv-research.org.za<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>Job reference: #DTHF\/C030.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Sunday, 19 May, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation (DTHF) is a registered nonprofit organisation focused on the pursuit of excellence in research, treatment, training and prevention of HIV and related infections in Southern&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[243],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
