We place a high priority on ensuring that only those who share and demonstrate our values are recruited to work for us.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Note:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0All offers of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and may be subject to appropriate screening checks, which can include criminal records and terrorism finance checks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Public Fundraising Senior Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location: <\/strong>South Africa<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work as part of the wider Public Fundraising team feeding into team strategy and planning<\/li>\n<li>To plan, devise and manage Oxfam\u2019s individual supporter acquisition strategy to ensure long-term income for the organisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Strategy and Planning<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan, develop and implement the strategy to maximise individual supporter acquisition &amp; retention across multiple channels and with multiple products.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver PF acquisition &amp; retention strategy within budget, KPI\u2019s are met and growth of supporter database is maximised.<\/li>\n<li>Support the individual giving emergency fundraising strategy for both local and international emergencies.<\/li>\n<li>In collaboration with digital fundraiser, ensure digital is integrated into all aspects of the retention programs.<\/li>\n<li>Lead the development and implementation of new acquisition &amp; retention products<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Supporter Acquisition &amp; Retention<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Devise, develop and ensure implementation of integrated supporter communications cycles<\/li>\n<li>Manage the acquisition &amp; retention of supporters to a range of products across a range of media<\/li>\n<li>Review and refine messaging, product and donor journey against current plans and make recommendations to maximise supporter retention rates<\/li>\n<li>Oversee clarity and integration of messaging across acquisition &amp; retention campaigns to new and existing audiences<\/li>\n<li>Manage the strategy to acquire &amp; retain payroll givers from new and existing audiences<\/li>\n<li>Ensure member get member, upgrade and retention strategies are properly understood and executed accordingly<\/li>\n<li>Identify and implement research, development and testing of new ways to engage the public on the work of Oxfam to maximise acquisition &amp; retention<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Analytics<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor all retention fundraising programs using KPI\u2019s and make recommendations on effectiveness to HOFr based of results<\/li>\n<li>Run reports on donor segments, offering ways to acquire, retain, reactivate, and convert donors to sustain and increase individual donations<\/li>\n<li>Analyse appeals performance and report individual and overall results<\/li>\n<li>Monitor ROI and attrition of new and existing supporters by channel and product<\/li>\n<li>Implement strategies maximise supporter lifetime value<\/li>\n<li>Recommend annual budgets and forecast supporter acquisition &amp; retention and expected ROI by channel and product.<\/li>\n<li>Produce monthly and quarterly reports against set KPI\u2019s<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep up-to-date with market knowledge and fundraising trends.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out any other reasonable tasks relevant to the post.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills, Knowledge and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work with and manage external service providers<\/li>\n<li>Ability to write for different audiences\/donor segments and build relationships with supporters over the long term<\/li>\n<li>Strong writer with proven ability to develop high level, compelling copy.
