Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nal\u2019ibali Trust is a national reading-for-enjoyment campaign that seeks to spark and sustain a culture of reading, via advocacy, training, partnerships, and high-quality reading material.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Special Projects Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location: <\/strong>Mowbray, Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to conceptualise, manage and support the development and delivery of an effective face-to-face reading for enjoyment programme into South African society.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitoring and evaluation: Manage implementation and strengthening of Nal\u2019ibali monitoring and evaluation system, develop and roll out monitoring and evaluation frameworks\/tools\/processes for new projects, and ensure quality and integrity of monitoring and evaluation data<\/li>\n<li>Reporting: Manage reporting to funders, ensure reporting deadlines are met, and ensure reports are of a high standard<\/li>\n<li>Research: Plan and implement internal evaluation and quality assurance processes, support external evaluations, and contribute to research agenda<\/li>\n<li>Leadership and management: Manage a geographically-dispersed team of junior monitoring and evaluation staff<\/li>\n<li>Capacity building: Train staff members on monitoring and evaluation tools and processes<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure monitoring and evaluation and research processes and findings are integrated into all projects, and used to nurture a culture of high performance and evidence-based decision-making<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Honours or Master\u2019s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Monitoring and Evaluation, Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, Business or Public Administration, Social Development), or equivalent work experience<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years\u2019 relevant work experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in the education, literacy development, and\/or community development sectors, and experience working on behaviour change campaigns, is advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Experience developing, implementing and strengthening large-scale monitoring and evaluation systems<\/li>\n<li>English writing and communication skills, with significant experience reporting to funders<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of managing projects<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of managing people, and of building capacity via mentoring and training, strong facilitation skills desirable<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of quantitative data analysis and interpretation<\/li>\n<li>Significant experience using Salesforce CRM platform strongly preferred, including building reports and dashboards<\/li>\n<li>Research design and implementation experience desirable, including quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis<\/li>\n<li>Strong Microsoft Office skills, including (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)<\/li>\n<li>Competency in at least one South African language in addition to English is strongly preferred<\/li>\n<li>An independent and driven self-starter, able to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision, and turn ideas into realistic plans and processes<\/li>\n<li>A focused, efficient person, able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and multi-task without compromising quality of delivery<\/li>\n<li>A collaborative, developmental team player, with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, able to manage and mentor a geographically-dispersed, diverse team and work well across departments<\/li>\n<li>A versatile, detail-orientated data nerd, who is experienced at collecting, cleaning, analysing and interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data<\/li>\n<li>A clear and compelling communicator, who can produce well-structured, high-quality reports, communicate data to a variety of audiences and effectively train people on monitoring and evaluation tools and processes<\/li>\n<li>A strategic and analytical person, who can both see the big picture and wrestle with detail<\/li>\n<li>A person who is passionate about literacy development and social justice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your motivational letter and CV to <strong><a href=\"mailto:work@nalibali.org\">work@nalibali.org<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with your name and surname, position title on the subject line, (e.g. Name Surname: Special Projects Manager)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Monday, 27 May, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nal\u2019ibali Trust is a national reading-for-enjoyment campaign that seeks to spark and sustain a culture of reading, via advocacy, training, partnerships, and high-quality reading material.
