The Army\u2019s doctrine follows the mainstream of Christian belief and its articles of faith emphasise God\u2019s saving purposes.<\/p>\n<p>The Organisations objects are \u2018the advancement of the Christian religion of education, the relief of poverty, and other charitable objects beneficial to society or the community of mankind as a whole.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Legacy Fundraising Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location:<\/strong> Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary:<\/strong> R14\u00a0639 to R16 600 per month (cost to company)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start date:<\/strong> As soon as possible<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of legacy and wills fundraising<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build relationships with individuals \/next of kin \/ families \/ executors \/ solicitors<\/li>\n<li>Provide marketing support when instructed by the HOD<\/li>\n<li>Effectively writer letters and proposals<\/li>\n<li>Represent TSA at external meetings and events<\/li>\n<li>Visit donors and prospects in their homes, offices and other private places to discuss their planned giving desires<\/li>\n<li>Respond to all legacy inquiries in a timely manner and responses to build relationships and ensure pledges<\/li>\n<li>Build and develop lasting relationships with potential donors<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for increasing the number of legacy pledges to TSA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A qualification in Fundraising, Marketing and\/or Business management (preferably a degree)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years\u2019 experience in this field<\/li>\n<li>Strong spoken and have written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of TSA and\/or NGO\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your application to <strong><a href=\"mailto:SAF_HR@saf.salvationarmy.org\">SAF_HR@saf.salvationarmy.org<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Friday, 31 May, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Salvation Army is an integral part of the Christian Church, although distinctive in government and practice.
