Working with a diverse community of children from all backgrounds, Zip Zap helps kids to \u2018dare to dream\u2019 and learn to make those dreams a reality.<\/p>\n<p>Zip Zap\u2019s programs are all free to participants, with financial and material support coming from individuals, organisation, corporations and foundations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: School Programmes Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location: <\/strong>Zip Zap Academy in Salt River, Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Remuneration:<\/strong> Based on experience, yearly performance based review<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement the school vision and focus of Zip Zap<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing programmatic, logistical, and financial management of Zip Zap\u2019s youth programmes<\/li>\n<li>Management, training, monitoring, evaluation and support of teaching staff to ensure that youth programmes are in alignment with established work plans and meet contractual deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Manage the purchase, maintenance and inventory of all programme equipment<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and manage Zip Zap\u2019s youth interventions and programmes in collaboration with Zip Zap\u2019s Operations Manager and Zip Zap\u2019s Events Manager<\/li>\n<li>Support the Operations Manager in the development and implementation of new arts interventions, curriculum, and programming<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain programme policies, procedures, and materials including workshop curricula and debriefs, meetings minutes, and other protocols related to programme implementation<\/li>\n<li>Implement, evaluate curriculum and programmes for the year<\/li>\n<li>Work within the budget<\/li>\n<li>Zip Zap spokesperson for social &amp; education purpose, public and social appearances<\/li>\n<li>Foster development of good relations with other cultural organisations by participating in meetings and joint activities where appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Reports to the EXCO every month on activities<\/li>\n<li>Build strong relationship between Zip Zap and the stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Honours or Master\u2019s degree preferably in a development-related and\/or arts administration field<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years of experience in the NGO-sector, preferably the arts focused on children and families<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and\/or experience in the performing art will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and\/or experience in dealing with vulnerable children, youth, and young adults will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience with project financial management will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience in human resource<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think outside the box with excellent decision-making, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong organisational and project coordination skills, including ability to work independently as well as part of a team, manage multiple projects at once, and complete assigned tasks on a timely basis<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in spreadsheet, email and power point<\/li>\n<li>Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience writing project reports and stakeholders communication<\/li>\n<li>Honesty, integrity, professionalism and willingness to work overtime as needed<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and preferably knowledge of one other South African language<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license, PdP will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to Zip Zap\u2019s ethical principles and mission to support vulnerable children and families through the arts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your application to: Melanie Boltman, <strong><a href=\"mailto:info@zip-zap.co.za\">info@zip-zap.co.za<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with the following subject line: \u201cProgramme coordinator application your name\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application should include:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CV not longer than two pages<\/li>\n<li>Personal Statement outlining how you meet the essential and desired qualifications<\/li>\n<li>A writing sample<\/li>\n<li>Contact information for three references<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Saturday, 15 June, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Zip Zap Circus School was founded in Cape Town in 1992, to inspire young people and help build a new culture of peaceful coexistence in South Africa.
