S\/He will manage the production of all media advocacy material and will undertake quality control of all outgoing media and uphold the organisations branding.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with drafting and production of content for outward communications, including press statements, multimedia, newsletters, and other publications<\/li>\n<li>Manage day to day social media networks for SWEAT<\/li>\n<li>Ensure digital platforms such as the website are maintained and kept up to date<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the SWEATs database of press, supporters and partner lists<\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective communication with SWEATs constituencies and related stakeholders including those within the database<\/li>\n<li>Manage all incoming requests from journalists, researchers and stakeholders by providing relevant information or referring to relevant managers within SWEAT<\/li>\n<li>Track media coverage of issues related to the sex work and assist with the dissemination of selected coverage and archival of all media clips<\/li>\n<li>Develop and managing campaign materials and resources \u2013 uphold SWEAT branding on all materials, and ensuring all campaign materials are archived appropriately<\/li>\n<li>Provide capacity building and mentorship to sex workers by providing media engagement training<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate advocacy events, and participate in planning and executing public events such as marches, direct actions, workshops and annual meetings etc<\/li>\n<li>Participate in planning, strategy development within the Advocacy team and assist the team to meet its goals<\/li>\n<li>Develop reports on all activities, within deadlines provided by the Advocacy manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tertiary qualification<\/li>\n<li>Communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Research, writing, and speaking skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of, and ability to use, multiple communications platforms including social media, websites (experience with WordPress, Canva and Mail Chimp advantageous)<\/li>\n<li>Creative abilities to produce, or facilitate the production of, multimedia and graphics advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Photography and videography experience advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Initiative and ability to think creatively<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit a CV with three references and a motivation letter to <strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment@sweat.org.za\">recruitment@sweat.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> Friday, 21 June, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Sex Worker Education and Advocacy Task Force (SWEAT) is a non-profit Organisation that works to ensure that sex worker\u2019s rights are defended, that they have access to health and&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[97],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
