{"id":47491,"date":"2019-06-20T14:31:33","date_gmt":"2019-06-20T12:31:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=47491"},"modified":"2019-06-20T14:31:33","modified_gmt":"2019-06-20T12:31:33","slug":"hope-africa-current-employment-opportunity-apply-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/hope-africa-current-employment-opportunity-apply-now.html","title":{"rendered":"HOPE Africa Current Employment Opportunity &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HOPE Africa is a social development organisation of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa (ACSA) that works within the six (6) countries in Southern Africa.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location: <\/strong>Western Cape<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration: <\/strong>This is a fixed term contract for a period of three (3) months<\/p>\n<p>Finance Officer will be responsible for the effective functioning of the accounting and financial processes that will support the implementation of a Community Response project. This position will ensure day to day financial reporting is in line with the reporting requirements, organizational policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Practice, South Africa (GAAP SA).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the programme bookkeeping systems<\/li>\n<li>Provide analysed and consolidated financial data reports to the management unit<\/li>\n<li>Capacity building of project staff on financial reporting requirements<\/li>\n<li>Provide regular progress reports for the management committee, local and international donors and programme stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree\/National Diploma in Accounting or Finance<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of three (3) years\u2019 relevant work experience required<\/li>\n<li>Proven proficiency with finance and payroll software packages: Pastel Accounting, Pastel\/ Payroll<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and high proficiency in Microsoft Office<\/li>\n<li>Ability to file statutory returns<\/li>\n<li>Ability to administer and execute financial processes and transactions<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience on a USAID-funded project preferred<\/li>\n<li>Proven knowledge of USAID rules and regulations ideal<\/li>\n<li>Strong individual initiative, including the ability to manage daily activities and achieve expected results with minimal oversight<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal skills<\/li>\n<li>English language fluency (oral and written)<\/li>\n<li>Pay attention to detail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit a cover letter motivating your application, a detailed CV (max three pages) with three contactable referees, copies of your qualifications and police clearance certificate to <strong><a href=\"mailto:kholiwe@hopeafrica.org.za\">kholiwe@hopeafrica.org.za<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>Clearly mark the subject line\u00a0Finance Officer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong> Monday, 24 June, 2019<\/p>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-opportunity-type field-type-list-text field-label-inline clearfix\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HOPE Africa is a social development organisation of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa (ACSA) that works within the six (6) countries in Southern Africa. &nbsp; Job Title: Finance Officer&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[57],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>HOPE Africa Current Employment Opportunity - Apply Now!
