The organization is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a\u00a0Peer Educator\u00a0Position, based in Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Peer Educator\u00a0Position<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location: <\/strong>Cape Town<\/p>\n<p><strong>Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Peer Group Educator will be responsible for effective day to day implementation of the Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW)project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matric or equivalent;<\/li>\n<li>Certificate or diploma in community development or related field will be added advantage;<\/li>\n<li>Three years of experience in community development and\/or community outreach work;<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working with Adolescent Girls and Young Women will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of clinics and other community-based resources for HIV services and post violence care is an added advantage;<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in English, and Afrikaans or isiXhosa<\/li>\n<li>Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel) would be an advantage;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and team work skills;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Police clearance certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Email the following documents to<strong> <a href=\"mailto:donna@hopeafrica.org.za\">donna@hopeafrica.org.za<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and state \u201cPeer Educator\u201d in subject line:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A cover letter motivating your application;<\/li>\n<li>A detailed CV (max 3 pages);<\/li>\n<li>Three (3) contactable references;<\/li>\n<li>Certified copies of your qualifications<\/li>\n<li>Certified copy of your police clearance certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Clearly mark the subject line: Peer Group Educator<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Should you not hear from HOPE Africa within three weeks of the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.<\/li>\n<li>HOPE Africa reserves the right to not make an appointment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-opportunity-closing-date field-type-datetime field-label-inline clearfix\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\"><span class=\"date-display-single\"><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> Wednesday, 3 July, 2019<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-opportunity-type field-type-list-text field-label-inline clearfix\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HOPE Africa is a social development organisation of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa (ACSA) that works within six (6) countries in Southern Africa.
