MES Johannesburg covers all services to ensure each client will have an exit opportunity with a successful outcome of becoming a sustainable citizen.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: \u00a0Individuals and Churches Fundraiser<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:<\/strong> Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p>Purpose of the position is<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>to administrate, coordinate and manage the fundraising and marketing strategy with a special focus on individuals and churches. Also responsible for Salesforce Administration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New Individual and Churches Strategy Development<\/li>\n<li>Prepare workable proposal for MES to participate in fundraising for individuals and churches<\/li>\n<li>Co-develop and implement marketing tools &amp; initiatives supporting the organisation\u2019s individuals and churches strategy<\/li>\n<li>Nurture ties with existing individuals and churches through the strategy<\/li>\n<li>New leads converted to donors due to roll-out of strategy<\/li>\n<li>Raise funds through Individuals and Churches strategy implementation.<\/li>\n<li>Individuals and Churches Fundraising<\/li>\n<li>To manage, maintain and expand the organisation\u2019s individual and church strategy.<\/li>\n<li>To co-develop the donor recruitment, donor approach and donor care plan standard operational procedures.<\/li>\n<li>To compile a projected annual income forecast as per the assigned donors.<\/li>\n<li>Utilise a strategic planning approach to identify opportunities for fundraising and initiate, coordinate and evaluate fundraising activities from individual donors and possible event sponsors.<\/li>\n<li>To organise pop-up exhibitions at churches and public areas and offer support for F&amp;M events<\/li>\n<li>Meet with identified potential individuals and churches to attract support for the mission of MES<\/li>\n<li>To submit proposals and conduct appropriate follow-up<\/li>\n<li>To prepare solid feedback reports to donors where needed<\/li>\n<li>To liaise with programme managers regarding client proposals, requests, and feedback<\/li>\n<li>To liaise with finance department regarding the financial follow up and implications<\/li>\n<li>To liaise with support services regarding goods in kind donations received<\/li>\n<li>Research potential clients and engage at network opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Maintain database files and records including those used to track contributions and keep accurate mailing lists<\/li>\n<li>To stay well-informed and updated on the latest fundraising changes and developments<\/li>\n<li>Corporate and Operational Work Ethos:<\/li>\n<li>Conduct business according to the agreed upon MES Heartbeat Values<\/li>\n<li>Submit month report on all activities conducted<\/li>\n<li>Attend the monthly Fundraising and Marketing meetings and other meetings scheduled to ensure the smooth running of the department.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that accurate back-ups are done on all data<\/li>\n<li>Appropriate data capturing and recording of funding status utilising Salesforce<\/li>\n<li>General Duties:<\/li>\n<li>Due to new developments of the department duties might be renegotiated within a reasonable scope with the employee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Essential Qualifications:<\/li>\n<li>Relevant Tertiary Qualification with a minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience as a fundraiser in the NGO sector.<\/li>\n<li>Drivers Licence<\/li>\n<li>Skills \/ Professional Knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience of MS Office Suite<\/li>\n<li>Excellent command in spoken and written English and Afrikaans language<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of trends, techniques and best practices in fundraising and development<\/li>\n<li>Budgeting experience<\/li>\n<li>Beneficial Qualities:<\/li>\n<li>Be innovative i.e. come up with new ideas and suggestions that can benefit the fundraising and marketing department<\/li>\n<li>Must have public speaking experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your CV to <strong><a href=\"mailto:vacancies@mes.org.za\">vacancies@mes.org.za<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Wednesday, 31 July, 2019<\/p>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-opportunity-type field-type-list-text field-label-inline clearfix\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since 1986\u00a0Mould Empower Serve MES Johannesburg\u00a0\u00a0has been fulfilling the needs of the marginal and destitute communities in and around Johannesburg.
