PAI has undergone a revival in the past two years as a result of two significant events.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2013 a consultative meeting was held in South Africa that was followed by a regional conference in Kenya in 2014 where the current executive board of PAI was elected with ten representatives from the continent.\u00a0 A conference decision was made to register PAI in South Africa where the Secretariat is located because of the prevailing conducive legal environment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Programme Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location: <\/strong>Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p>Purpose of the position is to provide Inclusive leadership and strategic direction to the team and partners, coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of the programmatic content at PAI together with its partners.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsitilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manages the implementation of the programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Activate, coordinate and directly communicate with partners, the donors, and other key stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring project visibility at the national, continental and global levels in liaison with partners and other key stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Leads a participative process of co-creation that closely involves both the donor as well as partners<\/li>\n<li>Have a strategic oversight on content and \ufb01nances, to ensure that programme goals are met.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures \ufb01nancial administrative information is up-to-date:<\/li>\n<li>\u200bEnsuring high quality narrative and \ufb01nancial workplans and reports,<\/li>\n<li>Oversees \ufb01nancial management and procurement,<\/li>\n<li>Subsequent contracting of partners, in line with PAI and donor requirements \u2022<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that coalition partners are meaningfully engaged in decision making<\/li>\n<li>International travel as part of networking, capacity building and conferencing<\/li>\n<li>Building relationships with partners and member organisations,<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates with coalition partners and other key stakeholders,\n<ul>\n<li>Data management, monitoring &amp; evaluation,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Managing research, linking and learning<\/li>\n<li>Relationship management\u00a0with external stakeholders,<\/li>\n<li>Responding to information requests and overall reporting on programmes \u2022<\/li>\n<li>Provides e\ufb00ective performance management, mentoring, and coaching for project sta\ufb00 under his\/her\/their direct supervision<\/li>\n<li>Provides technical oversight of the programme and individual activities<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adherence to de\ufb01ned goals,<\/li>\n<li>Evidence-based interventions and best practices \u2022<\/li>\n<li>Project planning, monitoring, and implementation \u2022<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership and direction for the project team,<\/li>\n<li>Programme management and reporting to funders \u2022<\/li>\n<li>Leads planning, quality assurance and supervision of programme monitoring,<\/li>\n<li>Evaluating, and reporting,<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring rapid roll-out and supervision of activities at all levels \u2022<\/li>\n<li>Receive the organisational and technical capacity development needed to successfully report on LGBTIQ+ human rights in their countries\/regions<\/li>\n<li>Ensures compliance with and implementation of all donor-related and project speci\ufb01c policies<\/li>\n<li>Performs possible other programme-related tasks, or as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree (or equivalent experience) in social sciences, business administration, international development or related area<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years professional experience in programme coordination or management of LGBTQI+ programmes, or programmes on sexual and reproductive health rights, human rights or related \ufb01elds<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 5 years senior management experience<\/li>\n<li>Financial and operational management skills, including managing and supervising teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience and Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in working with and commitment to African LGBTIQ+ people and organisations<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional project management skills (\ufb01nance, budgeting, managing sta\ufb00, planning, donor-management)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable experience in implementing learning and sharing information with a wide range of stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and relationship management skills<\/li>\n<li>Oral and written \ufb02uency in English and fair knowledge of French and preferably Portuguese<\/li>\n<li>Experience in facilitating training, policy and advocacy interventions across countries and region.<\/li>\n<li>Experience using digital communication and survey tools and competent in Microsoft applications including Word, Powerpoint and EXCEL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal Attributes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commitment to team-working and a willingness to join in with colleagues to manage the pressures and priorities of the day<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Likes to work in a multi-cultural environment with people from di\ufb00erent religions, cultures and of various sexual orientations and gender identities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications should be accompanied by a Curriculum Vitae and 1-page motivation letter.
