The\u00a0International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPC)\u00a0\u00a0was formed in 2003 by a group of 125 HIV treatment activists from 65 countries at a meeting in Cape Town, South Africa.\u202fOur mission from the start was to enable people in need, to access optimal HIV-related treatment.<\/p>\n

ITPC is centered on the belief that the fight for HIV treatment remains one of the most significant global health issues of our time, and that activism about HIV has and will continue to provide inspiration, experience, and commitment to achieving health care and human rights for all.<\/p>\n

ITPC also expanded its work beyond HIV, responding to the health priorities of coalition members and recognizing the opportunity to apply ITPC\u2019s experience and network to advocacy for access to treatments and health services for TB, viral hepatitis, and other life-threatening conditions.<\/p>\n

Job Title: Grants and Compliance Officer<\/strong>
\nJob Location: <\/strong>Johannesburg
\nRemuneration: <\/strong>ITPC provides a competitive salary package based on candidate\u2019s experience and skills.<\/p>\n

Purpose of the position is to offer grant and financial support to partner organizations so that they can carry out their advocacy campaigns and interventions to remove IP barriers and improve access to treatment.\u00a0The Grants and Compliance Officer will work closely with the partners and report directly to the Grants and Compliance Manager. The Grants and Compliance Officer will work on a daily basis with the Grants and Compliance Manager to ensure that project financials comply with established accounting standards, donor rules and financial guidelines. The position shall ensure that control policies and procedures are in place and operational in the project to address risks affecting the attainment of project objectives by conducting regular internal control and compliance reviews. The position will support the design and facilitation of institutional capacity strengthening plans for project staff and partners and will also support timely response to donor requests related to sub-award agreements, budgets and spending.<\/p>\n
