We provide direct services, outreach youth and community well-being programmes, support and education primarily to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) individuals and\/or communities, Men Who Have Sex With Men (MSM) and Women Who Have Sex With Women (WSW) in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). We are a drop-in safe space and Key Populations\u2019 Clinic.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Social Workers<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location: <\/strong>KwaZulu-Natal<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ethekwini<\/li>\n<li>King Cetshwayo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a one year fixed term contract.<\/p>\n<p>The Social Worker in the MSM Programme will primarily be responsible for conducting individual assessments and providing therapeutic interventions for MSM and the programme team.<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BA Degree in Social Worker and Registered with the SACSSP, must have a valid driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<li>Support implementation of HIV Programme, as outlined in the work plan<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen referral linkages within the health systems, especially between health facilities and CBO\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the implementation of the MSM Program.<\/li>\n<li>Support DoH\/LGBTI counsellors and clinicians to conduct case-finding at (ART) sites<\/li>\n<li>Identify training needs within the organisation and the DoH facilities<\/li>\n<li>Attend to stakeholders meetings including facility\/sub district management meetings<\/li>\n<li>Manage Social Auxiliary workers and Counsellors<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of two\u00a0years\u2019 experience as a social worker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit a detailed CV and covering letter with relevant attachments to <strong><a href=\"mailto:gaycentre@mweb.co.za\">gaycentre@mweb.co.za <\/a><\/strong>indicate in your covering letter the District you wish to apply for eThekwini (KZN) and Cetshwayo (KZN)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Friday, 12 July, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lesbian and Gay Community and Health Centre (the LGBTI Centre) is community-oriented wellbeing and human rights focused services, training and advocacy organisation.
