We provide direct services, outreach youth and community well-being programmes, support and education primarily to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) individuals and\/or communities, Men Who Have Sex With Men (MSM) and Women Who Have Sex With Women (WSW) in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). We are a drop-in safe space and Key Populations\u2019 Clinic.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job\u00a0 Title: Social Auxiliary Workers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Location: <\/strong>KwaZulu-Natal<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ethekwini<\/li>\n<li>King Cetshwayo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Social Auxiliary Worker (SAW) in the MSM Programme will primarily be responsible for conducting individual assessments and providing therapeutic interventions for MSM and the programme team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Social auxiliary worker qualification<\/li>\n<li>Experience in social auxiliary work<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working in HIV programmes with key populations is beneficial<\/li>\n<li>Experience in providing therapeutic interventions to women, victims of GBV, key populations<\/li>\n<li>Render psychosocial support services to\u00a0partners and family members who are\u00a0 victims and\u00a0 survivors\u00a0 of GBV<\/li>\n<li>Facilitation skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)<\/li>\n<li>Report-writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Planning and organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills, including being a team player<\/li>\n<li>Non-judgmental, trustworthy and empathetic personality<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a strong professional attitude and behaviour at all times<\/li>\n<li>Ability to travel as and when required<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of two years\u2019 experience as a social auxiliary worker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit a detailed CV and covering letter with relevant attachments to <strong><a href=\"mailto:gaycentre@mweb.co.za\">gaycentre@mweb.co.za <\/a><\/strong>indicate in your covering letter the District you wish to apply for eThekwini (KZN) and Cetshwayo (KZN)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Friday, 12 July, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lesbian and Gay Community and Health Centre (the LGBTI Centre) is community-oriented wellbeing and human rights focused services, training and advocacy organisation.
