As a growing global alliance of over 7000 members in 175 countries, we work together to monitor violations of basic civic freedoms, call out the perpetrators of violations and strengthen the power of people to organise by supporting a more accountable, effective and innovative civil society. The Organisation strives to promote excluded voices, especially from the Global South.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Civil Society Resourcing Intern<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>South Africa<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analytical, data processing and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with civil society, development and human rights issues<\/li>\n<li>understanding of resourcing constraints, challenges and threats faced by marginalised citizens and organisations &#8211; especially those in the Global South and from change-seeking groups<\/li>\n<li>Experience identifying trends, multi-faceted approaches and learnings across different contexts<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy, including collaborative applications such as Sharepoint, Google Docs etc<\/li>\n<li>Must be\u00a0dynamic and committed\u00a0with a heart for social justice and\u00a0analytical and data processing skills,<\/li>\n<li>Must want help carry out a comprehensive mapping, profiling and create a directory of organisations offering core funding, rapid response support and other resources to civil society groups, including informal groups and individual activists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your application to<strong> <a href=\"mailto:jobs@civicus.org\">jobs@civicus.org<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Your application should comprise of:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A full CV (two pages)<\/li>\n<li>A covering note of not more than one page outlining your motivation for applying for the role<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Wednesday, 24 July, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CIVICUS exists to defend people power.
