{"id":48220,"date":"2019-07-22T13:37:30","date_gmt":"2019-07-22T11:37:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=48220"},"modified":"2019-07-19T15:51:04","modified_gmt":"2019-07-19T13:51:04","slug":"soul-city-institute-recent-employment-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/soul-city-institute-recent-employment-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Soul City Institute Recent Employment Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Soul City Institute is\u00a0an intersectional feminist organisation and our mission is to ensure that young women and girls enjoy substantive equality, with access to resources and opportunities that enable this.<\/p>\n<p>The Organisation promotes a society where all people share a common humanity, respect for human rights, and a fair allocation of resources.\u00a0As an intersectional feminist organisation, Soul City Institute recognises the multiple and interconnecting oppressions experienced by women through supremacies that include race, gender and class.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: 17 Boys Mentors South Africa<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eastern Cape \u2013 OR Tambo District X3<\/li>\n<li>Gauteng \u2013 Ekurhuleni District X3<\/li>\n<li>Mpumalanga \u2013 Ehlanzeni District X3<\/li>\n<li>Limpopo \u2013 Vhembe District X3<\/li>\n<li>Northern Cape \u2013 John Taole District X3<\/li>\n<li>North West \u2013 Dr Kenneth Kaunda District X2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to mentor and guide Soul Buddyz Club members to undertake club activities and to empower Boys within the Soul Buddyz clubs with knowledge and skills that will support them to make better informed choices for a positive change in their lives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement the recruitment and registration of Soul Buddyz Clubs<\/li>\n<li>Conduct and facilitate Boys mentoring group sessions<\/li>\n<li>Collect attendance registers and registration forms from clubs<\/li>\n<li>Distribute relevant tools to clubs<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that clubs allocated to them meet weekly and report their attendance appropriately as required by Soul City<\/li>\n<li>Develop monthly\/quarterly club activities in consultation with the Programme Officer<\/li>\n<li>Weekly face to face mentoring sessions twice a month with Mentees<\/li>\n<li>Documentation of all mentoring sessions and other club activities<\/li>\n<li>Identify challenges faced by clubs that may impact on the participation in the programme and identify appropriate interventions to mitigate drop outs<\/li>\n<li>Track attendance of club activities and mentoring sessions by members<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and submit monthly progress reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Stakeholder Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify key stakeholders who can contribute to meeting clubs\u2019 objectives<\/li>\n<li>Network with local stakeholders to support and profile the work of the clubs<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate club meetings with key decision makers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0General<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare reports as and when required in the right templates<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the programme officer to ensure club activities are seamlessly integrated into Soul City programmes<\/li>\n<li>Identify innovative ways and opportunities to meet the objectives of the programme<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and keep track of club members\u2019 participation and mitigate against drop out<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A matric qualification.
