{"id":48222,"date":"2019-07-22T13:40:44","date_gmt":"2019-07-22T11:40:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=48222"},"modified":"2019-07-19T16:40:50","modified_gmt":"2019-07-19T14:40:50","slug":"soul-city-institute-current-employment-opportunity-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/soul-city-institute-current-employment-opportunity-3.html","title":{"rendered":"Soul City Institute Current Employment Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Soul City Institute is an intersectional feminist organisation and our mission is to ensure that young women and girls enjoy substantive equality, with access to resources and opportunities that enable this.\u00a0 The Organisation promotes a society where all people share a common humanity, respect for human rights, and a fair allocation of resources.<\/p>\n<p>As an intersectional feminist organisation,\u00a0Soul City Institute recognises the multiple and interconnecting oppressions experienced by women through supremacies that include race, gender and class.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: 35 Club Mobilisers\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eastern Cape \u2013 OR Tambo District X5<\/li>\n<li>Free State \u2013 Mangaung District X5<\/li>\n<li>Northern Cape \u2013 John Taole District X3<\/li>\n<li>Gauteng \u2013 Ekhurhuleni District X3<\/li>\n<li>KZN \u2013 Ilembe District X6<\/li>\n<li>Limpopo \u2013 Vhembe District X3<\/li>\n<li>Mpumalanga \u2013 Ehlanzeni District X2<\/li>\n<li>North West \u2013 Dr Kenneth Kaunda District X3<\/li>\n<li>Western Cape \u2013 Metro East District X5<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Report to:<\/strong> Programme Officer<br \/>\n<strong>Duration: <\/strong>This is a one-year assignment.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is to\u00a0mobilise and guide RISE and Soul Buddyz Club members to undertake club activities including advocacy actions aligned to club project objectives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement the recruitment and registration of Soul Buddyz and Rise Young Women\u2019s clubs<\/li>\n<li>Implement Raising Voices coalition advocacy\u00a0with provincial and local government<\/li>\n<li>Collect attendance registers and registration forms from clubs<\/li>\n<li>Distribute relevant tools to clubs<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that clubs allocated to them meet weekly and report their attendance appropriately as required by Soul City<\/li>\n<li>Develop monthly\/quarterly club activities in consultation with Programme Officer<\/li>\n<li>Weekly face to face\u00a0and remote coaching sessions twice a month with RISE club members<\/li>\n<li>Document all coaching session\u00a0and other club activities<\/li>\n<li>Identify challenges faced by the club that may impact on the participation in the programme and identify appropriate interventions to mitigate dropouts<\/li>\n<li>Track attendance of\u00a0club activities by members<\/li>\n<li>Ensure clubs social media\u00a0action and visibility<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and submit monthly progress reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Stakeholder Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify key stakeholders who can contribute to meeting clubs objectives<\/li>\n<li>Network with local stakeholders to support and profile the work of the clubs<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate club meetings with key decision makers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0General<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare reports as and when required in the right templates<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the programme officer to ensure club activities are seamlessly integrated into Soul City programmes<\/li>\n<li>Identify innovative ways and opportunities to meet the objectives of the programme<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and keep track of club members participation and mitigate against drop out<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A matric qualification.
