{"id":48346,"date":"2019-07-26T09:05:34","date_gmt":"2019-07-26T07:05:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=48346"},"modified":"2019-07-25T18:08:28","modified_gmt":"2019-07-25T16:08:28","slug":"lifeline-ekurhuleni-recent-employment-opportunity-apply-now-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/lifeline-ekurhuleni-recent-employment-opportunity-apply-now-2.html","title":{"rendered":"LifeLine Ekurhuleni Recent Employment Opportunity &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LifeLine Ekurhuleni is a leading provider of personal skills development and the promotion of emotional wellness for the healing and transformation of individuals and communities in Ekurhuleni.<\/p>\n<p>As a community-based, civil society organisation, whose core counselling and victim empowerment services are provided by volunteers, LifeLine involves the community at large and its resources to achieve its objectives.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Social Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>LifeLine Ekurhuleni in Benoni<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The successful applicant is expected to fill this position for an initial period of 7 months &#8211; with the possibility of renewal dependent on the availability of funds.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the incumbent is to ensure that both mentally-challenged adults and child victims and witnesses of sexual abuse and other violent crimes receive optimal Intermediary and follow-up services from the LifeLine team, as well as knowledge of child protection, gender-based violence and HIV &amp; AIDS-related issues and their impact amongst individuals, families and communities.<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilites:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Co-ordinating and monitoring the LifeLine services and team<\/li>\n<li>Providing psychosocial support<\/li>\n<li>Planning, organising, mobilising for and evaluating community development activities<\/li>\n<li>Networking, advocacy and linking with diverse stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>General administration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 4-Year Bachelors or Honours Degree in Social Work;<\/li>\n<li>Registration with the SACSSP;<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years therapeutic experience, preferably within the NGO sector;<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the management of both staff and volunteer teams;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of VEP and child protection practices and the relevant legislation;<\/li>\n<li>A valid Code 8 (EB) driver\u2019s license;<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in the use of computers for spreadsheets, reporting, email and internet;<\/li>\n<li>Strong, persuasive written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines over long periods;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organisational skills, with a thorough attention to detail;<\/li>\n<li>A flexible approach to working hours and duties<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit a CV, contact details of three referees and motivation letter to <strong><a href=\"mailto:lifelineoffice@gmail.com\">lifelineoffice@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Wednesday, 7 August, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LifeLine Ekurhuleni is a leading provider of personal skills development and the promotion of emotional wellness for the healing and transformation of individuals and communities in Ekurhuleni.
