{"id":48349,"date":"2019-07-26T09:29:08","date_gmt":"2019-07-26T07:29:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=48349"},"modified":"2019-07-25T17:42:49","modified_gmt":"2019-07-25T15:42:49","slug":"lifeline-ekurhuleni-recent-employment-opportunity-apply-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/lifeline-ekurhuleni-recent-employment-opportunity-apply-now.html","title":{"rendered":"LifeLine Ekurhuleni Recent Employment Opportunity &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LifeLine Ekurhuleni is a leading provider of personal skills development and the promotion of emotional wellness for the healing and transformation of individuals and communities in Ekurhuleni.<\/p>\n<p>As a community-based, civil society organisation, whose core counselling and victim empowerment services are provided by volunteers, LifeLine involves the community at large and its resources to achieve its objectives.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong> <strong>Intermediary<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Benoni, Gauteng<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the incumbent is to ensure that child and mentally-challenged adult victims and witnesses of abuse and violence, as well as their families, are supported through and post legal processes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing Intermediary services to Courts throughout Ekurhuleni<\/li>\n<li>Following up and supporting child and mentally-challenged adult victims and their families post-Court cases<\/li>\n<li>Facilitating awareness and educational programmes around issues underlying child abuse and violence<\/li>\n<li>Providing lay counselling to distressed and traumatized individuals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As per the Criminal Procedures Act (Act 51 of 1977), the following persons may apply:<\/li>\n<li>Registered educators with 4 years of service experience<\/li>\n<li>Registered Social Workers with 2 years of experience in the Social Work field<\/li>\n<li>Registered Child Care Workers with a 3-year qualification and 3 years\u2019 experience in child or youth care<\/li>\n<li>Registered clinical, educational or counselling psychologists<\/li>\n<li>Registered medical practitioners, with psychiatry as a specialist<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of child development and the relevant legislation;<\/li>\n<li>A valid Code 8 or 10 driver\u2019s license;<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and at least two other South African languages;<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in the use of computers for spreadsheets, reporting, email and internet;<\/li>\n<li>Strong, persuasive written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and a team player<\/li>\n<li>A flexible approach to working hours and duties<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit a CV, contact details of three referees and motivation letter to <strong><a href=\"mailto:lifelineoffice@gmail.com\">lifelineoffice@gmail.com<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LifeLine Ekurhuleni is a leading provider of personal skills development and the promotion of emotional wellness for the healing and transformation of individuals and communities in Ekurhuleni.
