The\u00a0PDA Unit’s purpose is to shape policy and legal decisions on gender justice, health and human rights. It utilizes a mix of responsive actions, and long-term advocacy to achieve its goals. We conduct rapid response advocacy on topical developments in gender justice, health, and human rights, especially for vulnerable groups, while working to ensure there are stronger systems to advance the protection of human rights and gender justice. Sonke seeks to support the State in its delivery of services, while always striving to hold it accountable for its failures to protect human rights and prevent gender-based violence.<\/p>\n
