\nCSIR: Consulting and Analytical Services has challenging positions for Project Managers
\nwithin the Project Management Services business area that is responsible for multiple
\nprojects across various domains.
\nKey responsibilities:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Contract management
\n\u2022 Identifying project requirements with a team-based approach
\n\u2022 Establishing clear and achievable objectives
\n\u2022 Excellent team and stakeholder communication
\n\u2022 Balancing the competing demands for quality, scope, time and cost
\n\u2022 Adapting the specifications, plans and approach to the different concerns and
\nexpectations of the various stakeholders (handling all possible conflict situations)
\n\u2022 Initiating, planning, monitoring, controlling and completing a portfolio of projects
\n\u2022 Monitoring and controlling project progress including regular consolidation of financial
\ndata
\n\u2022 Generating and presenting project progress reports as and when required
\n\u2022 Ensuring that high levels of data integrity are maintained on all CSIR systems
\n\u2022 Ensuring that all project documentation is filed appropriately and is accessible at all
\ntimes
\n\u2022 Management of project-level budgeting
\n\u2022 Financial administration
\n\u2022 Stakeholder management.
\nQualifications, skills and experience:
\n\u2022 B degree or any tertiary qualification deemed to be equivalent by the SA<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Formal qualification in Project Management
\n\u2022 3-5 years\u2019 experience in Project Management, preferably in one of the following
\ndomains: Built Environment, Water and Sanitation, Engineering
\n\u2022 The following competencies are critical for this position:
\n\u2022 Ability to work well in a team
\n\u2022 Ability to interpret client needs and requirements and scope the activities
\n\u2022 Ability to manage and report effectively on activities according to approved
\nproject plan.
\n\u2022 Ability to work across project boundaries and with complex projects

\n\u2022 Experience in ensuring implementation of multi-disciplinary project plans\/strategies
