Scope of Role\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Regional Programming Unit\u2019s over-arching goal for the period 2019 \u2013 2021 is to ensure regional accountability for child rights, with the aim that children in the East and Southern Africa Region (ESAR) are safe and protected. The Migration and Displacement manager oversees the running and coordination of the Migration and Displacement pillar of the Regional Programmes Unit.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the Migration and Displacement pillar is to support the protection of children migrating and displaced through the engagement with multi country\/regional institutions to address gaps in policy formulation and implementation and based on the work of CO and partners.<\/p>\n

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.<\/p>\n
