{"id":48512,"date":"2019-08-08T14:05:59","date_gmt":"2019-08-08T12:05:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=48512"},"modified":"2019-08-07T14:19:40","modified_gmt":"2019-08-07T12:19:40","slug":"community-keepers-current-available-job-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/community-keepers-current-available-job-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Community Keepers Current Available Job Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Community Keepers is a non-profit company aiming to promote the social and emotional wellbeing of learners and create supportive school communities where learning and development can prosper.<\/p>\n<p>The Community Keepers multidisciplinary team operates from the organisation\u2019s school-based offices and delivers a variety of support and preventative services to learners including, assessments, counseling, therapy, parenting workshops and more.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Psychologist<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Stellenbosch<br \/>\n<strong>Nature: <\/strong>Part-time basis (20 hours a week. Three &#8211; four mornings a week) to be based in different Community Keepers school offices in Stellenbosch.<br \/>\n<strong>Starting date:<\/strong> As soon as possible<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assessments of children and youth (5-18 years) which includes individual interviews, obtaining collateral from relevant support systems (parents\/guardians, educator, previous schools, etc.), diagnosis and development of a treatment plan.<\/li>\n<li>Individual and group interventions based on treatment plans. Ensuring that the most appropriate intervention is used and the most up-to-date methods of intervention.<\/li>\n<li>Updating all administrative processses associated with the clinical process, including clinical notes, organizing files, giving feedback to referrers, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Leading case discussions and giving specific input to team members regarding cases.<\/li>\n<li>Development and presentation of parenting sessions to parents\/guardians of learners.<\/li>\n<li>Involvement in peer supervision and professional development (case presentations and literature reviews).<\/li>\n<li>Making an ongoing contribution to the overall goals and development of Community Keepers as an organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>M (Educational or Clinical Psychology) and registered as an Educational or Clinical Psychologist<\/li>\n<li>Three years\u2019 experience as a Psychologist.<\/li>\n<li>Specialised academic knowledge and practical experience in Educational or Clinical Psychology<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge on the development and evaluation of creative approaches to the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of the client group.<\/li>\n<li>Quality principles and practise and sound understanding and ability to apply ethical principles.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in Afrikaans.<\/li>\n<li>Must have passion, dedication and commitment towards the organisation and the job at hand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Download the application form from our website (<a href=\"https:\/\/communitykeepers.org\/get-involved\/#tab_involved_1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/communitykeepers.org\/get-involved\/#tab_involved_1<\/a>) and submit to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:applications@communitykeepers.org\">applications@communitykeepers.org<\/a>\u00a0with \u201cPsychologist\u201d in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Friday, 16 August, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Community Keepers is a non-profit company aiming to promote the social and emotional wellbeing of learners and create supportive school communities where learning and development can prosper.
