{"id":48541,"date":"2019-08-09T15:02:46","date_gmt":"2019-08-09T13:02:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=48541"},"modified":"2019-08-08T17:14:54","modified_gmt":"2019-08-08T15:14:54","slug":"saide-recent-available-employment-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/saide-recent-available-employment-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Saide Recent Available Employment Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saide\u00a0is a non-governmental organization conducting projects throughout South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa.\u00a0Saide&#8217;s\u00a0task is to contribute to the development of new models of open learning, including the use of distance education methods, educational technology and open educational resources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Knowledge and Communications Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Braamfontein offices<br \/>\n<strong>Remuneration:<\/strong> Commensurate with skills and experience.<br \/>\n<strong>Employment period:<\/strong> Full-time permanent position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for\u00a0Saide\u2019s\u00a0knowledge management system and for the\u00a0development\u00a0and implementation of\u00a0Saide\u2019s\u00a0communications strategy by ensuring that<\/li>\n<li>Saide\u2019s\u00a0intellectual capital is regularly collated, integrated and made easily accessible internally;<\/li>\n<li>All\u00a0Saide\u00a0documents are stored in an accessible internal knowledge management system;<\/li>\n<li>Information about\u00a0Saide\u2019s\u00a0work is shared effectively through various\u00a0Saide\u00a0electronic newsletters (using Mailchimp), websites and social media;<\/li>\n<li>Saide\u2019s\u00a0knowledge products are packaged and disseminated widely;<\/li>\n<li>Information relevant to\u00a0Saide\u2019s\u00a0work is gathered from websites, newspapers and other social media, and curated for sharing with Saide staff and clients;<\/li>\n<li>A digital library relevant to\u00a0Saide\u2019s\u00a0work is curated and maintained, and a database of references for\u00a0Saide\u00a0and its key initiatives is developed and maintained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to embrace open educational resources (OER) and become a knowledge hub in this regard.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the above duties will be undertaken against\u00a0Saide\u00a0core budget and some against project budgets with specific deliverables.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in information management, information technology, library sciences, business administration or related fields. A Master\u2019s degree would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of four years of proven experience in knowledge and communications management, organizational learning and data management.
