She\/he participates as a member of senior leadership in the development and implementation of organizational and program budgets, administrative systems and organization-wide policies and procedures. The Director of Finance and Administration reports to the Executive Director (in Boston, USA) and to the Country Director in South Africa. Extensive experience with US Government, USAID, CDC grants and cooperative agreement rules and regulations is essential for this position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities: <\/strong>\u00a0information on grant financials for initiative managers;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide guidance to program staff on how to most effectively develop proposals and budgets, anticipating potential logistical or administrative challenges;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the process of complex sub-award administration arrangements to partner organizations;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the full range of accounting activities including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, tax audit coordination, accounts payable\/receivables, purchasing, payroll, cash management, and insurance.<\/li>\n<li>Organizational Management:<\/li>\n<li>Oversee compliance with South African and International requirements for sound organizational operations;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee human resources systems providing the structures and supports needed to help our team work effectively with a positive, dynamic team culture;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the maintenance of up to date human resources policies in both South Africa and the Boston offices;<\/li>\n<li>Onboard new team members;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adequate and appropriate access to information systems;<\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned or required from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education &amp; Experience<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree required. Master\u2019s degree in a relevant field such as public administration, business administration, finance and accounting or non-profit management will be an added advantage;<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of\u00a0<strong>6 years<\/strong>\u00a0of financial and organizational management with increasing responsibility. Experience with non-profit financial management;<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding interpersonal skills and analytical abilities.\u00a0Advanced written and verbal communication skills required;<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience with US Government, USAID, CDC grants and cooperative agreement rules and regulations;<\/li>\n<li>Strong command of Excel, Quickbooks and other financial and project management platforms;<\/li>\n<li>International non-profit experience and knowledge of South Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Other Attributes<\/li>\n<li>Absolute honesty and integrity; ability to maintain strict confidentiality;<\/li>\n<li>Strategic thinker;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated and consistent use of good judgment;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with cross cultural team members;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to mentor other staff and give direction;<\/li>\n<li>Team player;<\/li>\n<li>Professional and mature demeanor;<\/li>\n<li>Flexible work style;<\/li>\n<li>The position requires mobility and ability to travel independently.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application and Contact Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position requires legal residence and right to work in South Africa.
