{"id":48759,"date":"2019-08-26T15:08:19","date_gmt":"2019-08-26T13:08:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=48759"},"modified":"2019-08-26T15:08:19","modified_gmt":"2019-08-26T13:08:19","slug":"amsher-recent-available-employment-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/amsher-recent-available-employment-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"AMSHeR Recent Available Employment Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AMSHeR strives for a future when every country in Africa will enable safe, healthy, productive and fulfilling lives for all its people, irrespective of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.<\/p>\n<p>AMSHeR\u2019s mission is to strengthen capacity, partnerships and collaborations amongst LGBT+ focused civil society organisations in Africa and to deepen alliances with other social movements that champion health, human rights, social justice and development.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> AMSHeR\u2019s secretariat in Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p>Established ten years ago, AMSHeR has emerged as one of the most authoritative and influential pan-African organisations working on LGBT+ issues. The Finance Manager position is critical to the realisation of AMSHeR\u2019s mission and will be responsible for managing the organisation\u2019s finance and financial reporting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Implementation of financial policies, and procedures, and providing financial advisory support to the organisation\u2019s strategy development process.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Undertaking general accounting work, ensuring \u00a0financial compliance, managing financial reporting, sub-granting processes and completion of audit functions on time.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Ensuring proper and timely filing of tax and other statutory returns, and periodic audits. The position also includes contributing to resource mobilisation activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><strong>Reqiurements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Bachelor of Commerce, Finance or Accounting degree;<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Professional accounting qualification such as CPA or ACCA;<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Minimum of five (5) years management experience in a busy organisation in a middle management role;<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Experience in a middle level financial management position.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Extensive experience of using and running financial systems, ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate records and reporting against general good accounting practice.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Experience with complex project based finances is necessary, including multiple reporting requirements.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Excellent spoken and written English is required.
