Greenpeace exists because this fragile earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs change. It needs action. Greenpeace Africa is a growing movement of people acting in protection of the environment. Our campaigns use peaceful, creative confrontation to expose environmental injustices around the world and develop solutions for a green and peaceful future.<\/p>\n

Greenpeace is an International NGO founded in 1971, when a small boat of volunteers and journalists sailed into Amchitka, an area north of Alaska where the US government was conducting underground nuclear tests. It was an act of rebellion against seemingly impossible odds. Greenpeace Africa became a registered NGO in 2008. The Head Office is in South Africa and registered Hubs in Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon and Senegal.<\/p>\n
