{"id":48941,"date":"2019-09-05T10:27:05","date_gmt":"2019-09-05T08:27:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=48941"},"modified":"2019-09-05T10:27:05","modified_gmt":"2019-09-05T08:27:05","slug":"child-welfare-durban-and-district-recent-employment-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/child-welfare-durban-and-district-recent-employment-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Child Welfare Durban and District Recent Employment Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Child Welfare Durban and District is an established Non-Governmental Organisation dedicated to caring for Children and Youth.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Child Welfare Durban and District: Social Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>North of Durban<br \/>\n<strong>Remuneration:<\/strong> R12\u00a0374.25<br \/>\n<strong>Employment type:<\/strong> Fixed\u00a0term\u00a0contract\u00a06 months<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commitment to transformation.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Child Protection Services.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Child Protection Legislation (Children\u2019s Act)<\/li>\n<li>Unendorsed Driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Registration with SACSSP<\/li>\n<li>No Criminal Record<\/li>\n<li>Good Computer Skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interview clients individually, in families, or in groups, assessing their situations, capabilities, and problems, to determine what services are required to meet their needs<\/li>\n<li>Counsel parents with child rearing problems, interviewing the child and family to determine whether further action is required<\/li>\n<li>Develop and review service plans in consultation with clients, and perform follow-ups assessing the quantity and quality of services provided.<\/li>\n<li>Assessing and planning intervention processes for children and young people in consultation with the, colleagues, family and\/or relevant Departments<\/li>\n<li>In consultation with Managers ensuring that interventions and programs for children and young people are planned, implemented and reviewed in accordance with relevant legislation, regulation, policies and codes of ethics\/practice.<\/li>\n<li>Consistently maintains the rights and dignity of the individual child or young person.<\/li>\n<li>To assist in drawing up budget estimates for specific projects, programmes and\/or services and ensure that all expenditure is correctly authorised by Manager and Senior Manager is appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Experience of 3 years in the social work field of child protection is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants are requested to apply in writing enclosing a detailed copy of their curriculum vitae to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment@cwdd.org.za\">recruitment@cwdd.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Thursday, 5 September, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Child Welfare Durban and District is an established Non-Governmental Organisation dedicated to caring for Children and Youth. &nbsp;
