{"id":49063,"date":"2019-09-13T18:00:53","date_gmt":"2019-09-13T16:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=49063"},"modified":"2019-09-12T18:42:30","modified_gmt":"2019-09-12T16:42:30","slug":"christine-revell-childrens-home-recent-available-employment-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/christine-revell-childrens-home-recent-available-employment-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Christine Revell Children&#8217;s Home Recent Available Employment Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Christine Revell Children\u2019s Home provides full-time care for up to 49 babies and children from birth to five years of age who have been referred to them by social workers and placed there by order of a children\u2019s court.<\/p>\n<p>The children are either neglected, abandoned, abused, orphaned and are accepted at the home irrespective of HIV status, race or gender.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Child and Youth Care Worker Group A Position<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> working on 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0December 2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Child and Youth Care Qualification<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of the Child and Youth Care field<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of children that come from traumatic backgrounds<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with children aged 0 \u2013 18 months<\/li>\n<li>Good organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Understanding and insight into demands of residential care<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Registered Child and Youth Care Worker with at least 3 years\u2019 experience working in the field of child care<\/li>\n<li>children from the age\u2019s birth to 5 years<\/li>\n<li>Driver\u2019s License will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise; manage and provide activities for the children<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with Social Worker and Doctors<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of the Children\u2019s Act and familiar with Regulations<\/li>\n<li>Basic Administration and Report Writing Skills<\/li>\n<li>Assists in the formulating of Individual Developmental Plans &amp; Care Plans<\/li>\n<li>Individual therapy with children \u2013 play therapy will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work Independently<\/li>\n<li>Programme Planning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We offer a salary that commensurate with experience\/ training completed, pension and leave benefits.
