Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"rtejustify\">Jembi is a not for Profit company specializing in Health Information Systems and Digital Health.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Senior Full Stack Software Developer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location Deadline: <\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Remuneration:<\/strong>\u00a0Jembi offers a highly attractive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.<br \/>\n<strong>Employment type:<\/strong> The successful candidate will be appointed to a one year contract (renewable)<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> Available immediately.<br \/>\n<strong>Reports\u00a0to:<\/strong> Development Team Lead<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Working with an agile team to develop, test, support and maintain all software that the team is responsible for.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Assisting in the collection and documentation of user&#8217;s requirements, development of user stories, and estimates.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Performing code review of team member\u2019s code and solution design.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Analyzing, resolving and creating technical solutions for novel problems in the health domain.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Adhering to and promoting the following of software development best practices<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Mentorship of other software engineers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><strong>Required :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Solid understanding of web technologies and protocols<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Experience with development in Node.js and its ecosystem<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Experience with relational and NoSQL database development<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Experience as a Senior Level software engineer with the ability to take ownership of software deliverables and work unsupervised by other senior developers within the team.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Excellent coding skills and understanding of software design patterns and architecture<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Front End development experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS and relevant platforms and libraries<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Use of Agile development practices<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Ability to take ownership of software deliverables and work unsupervised by senior developers<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Responsibility for risk management of the overall software product<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience working in production enterprise environments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><strong>Additional Skills and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Information Technology or Computer Science Degree (or equivalent).<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Digital Ocean etc.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Experience with Ansible and Docker<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Experience with React.js, AngularJS or other well known front-end Javascript frameworks<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Extensive experience in developing using an OOP language, advantageous<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Experience in the public health sector and previous software development work with Electronic Health Record systems,\u00a0 advantageous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"rtejustify\">\n<p>Some of our core products are open source and available for you to check out on\u00a0Github.\u00a0On the team\u00a0front, we run a tight-knit, agile team, each with particular skills but at the moment we are very excited to be able to grow our group of talented software engineers.Please e-mail application letter and CV to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:careers@jembi.org\">careers@jembi.org<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0 <\/strong>Friday, 20 September, 2019<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jembi is a not for Profit company specializing in Health Information Systems and Digital Health. &nbsp;
