{"id":49211,"date":"2019-09-23T11:18:18","date_gmt":"2019-09-23T09:18:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=49211"},"modified":"2019-09-20T12:18:11","modified_gmt":"2019-09-20T10:18:11","slug":"irene-homes-recent-available-employment-opportunity-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/irene-homes-recent-available-employment-opportunity-2.html","title":{"rendered":"Irene Homes Recent Available Employment Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Irene Homes is a non-profit organisation working with women who are intellectually disabled within a residential facility.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Social Work Manager <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Pretoria<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the clinical management of all residents with regard to legislative regulations and achievement of best practice outcomes;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for implementation and management of the Minimum Norms and Standards for Residential care;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the managing of the day-to-day affairs linked to the effective running of resident houses;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for implementation and management of the Volunteer and Community Service programme;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for admissions of new residents;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the orientation of new residents;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the management of the personnel training and education programme;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the management of the Family &amp; Friends programme;<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with various government departments in term of legislation, subsidised services, programmes, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Must be prepared to be on call including weekends<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Social Work and registered with the SACSSP;<\/li>\n<li>Management experience within a residential care facility between 7 and 10 years<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver&#8217;s licence<\/li>\n<li>Personal circumstances must allow the candidate to be on call and assist with matters after normal working hours and on weekends.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with therapeutic interventions and therapeutic processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate that she:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has knowledge of the nature of intellectual and physical disabilities;<\/li>\n<li>Has knowledge of the techniques for observing and assessing resident behaviour;<\/li>\n<li>Has knowledge of training and supervisory techniques and methods;<\/li>\n<li>Has knowledge of current research in the field of intellectual disabilities programming and its practical application;<\/li>\n<li>Has the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team;<\/li>\n<li>Has the ability to instruct, direct and evaluate employees;<\/li>\n<li>Has the ability to identify and resolve administrative problems;<\/li>\n<li>Has the ability to observe, assess and modify the behaviour of persons with intellectual disabilities;<\/li>\n<li>Has the ability to allocate, direct, and coordinate the work of residential staff;<\/li>\n<li>Has the ability to coordinate support services and programme activities with other departments of the facility and \/or community agencies;<\/li>\n<li>Has the ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and compose communications;<\/li>\n<li>Has the ability to compile policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit a motivation letter and CV (with 3 recent contactable references) to <strong><a href=\"mailto:info@irenehomes.co.za\">info@irenehomes.co.za<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Monday, 30 September, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Irene Homes is a non-profit organisation working with women who are intellectually disabled within a residential facility. &nbsp;
