and support in bereavement for all living with a life-threatening illness by supporting member hospices and partner organisations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Trainer \/ Quality Assurance Mentor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Richards Bay<\/p>\n<p>The primary purpose of this position is to assess the quality of the HIV\/AIDS services provided at community level, design and implement quality improvement interventions, including training, to maintain the standards of care across community-based programs within the APACE Project<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement<\/li>\n<li>Work with District staff to define standards of care for HIV\/AIDS services aligned with national and international guidelines and practices.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with the District to document agreed upon standards and institutionalise them.<\/li>\n<li>Design and develop tools to monitor and assess the quality of the community-based services provided by APACE team.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular assessments to monitor the standards of the care provided under community-based APACE programs.<\/li>\n<li>Work in close collaboration with MER team to document and report on the outcomes of the assessments, challenges identified and best practices, enabling informed and timely programmatic decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Design and implement quality improvement interventions to address the provision of sub-standards services and ensure provision of high, quality care at community level.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct SIMS assessments for CBOs and FBOs supported through APACE and implement quality improvement interventions to address identified gaps.<\/li>\n<li>Support the development and implementation APACE community component risk management (including the ongoing management and review of risk registers)<\/li>\n<li>Training and Capacity Development<\/li>\n<li>Train and mentor district staff and community stakeholders on the standards of care for HIV\/AIDS services at community level.<\/li>\n<li>Design customized training courses and workshops to address the specific needs of community stakeholders and DoH staff.<\/li>\n<li>Develop work aids, training material and communication material to support the implementation of best practices and maintenance of standards of care.<\/li>\n<li>Provide guidance to APACE team on the required standard of care and provide mentorship as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s in Health; Public Health or related field<\/li>\n<li>5 to 7 Years\u2019 experience in HIV\/AIDS or Public Health field<\/li>\n<li>3 to 5 Years\u2019 experience in Training facilitation<\/li>\n<li>3 to 4 Years\u2019 experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement<\/li>\n<li>3 to 4 Years\u2019 experience in M&amp;E and reporting<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in MS Office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>COMPETENCY PROFILE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical, professional knowledge and expertise<\/li>\n<li>\u200bCustomer centric
