{"id":49331,"date":"2019-09-30T12:07:44","date_gmt":"2019-09-30T10:07:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=49331"},"modified":"2019-09-27T12:34:34","modified_gmt":"2019-09-27T10:34:34","slug":"community-intervention-centre-cic-latest-available-job-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/community-intervention-centre-cic-latest-available-job-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Community Intervention Centre (CIC) Latest Available Job Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Community Intervention Centre (CIC) was established in 2001 and has a small team of dedicated staff and volunteers that provides a free 24-hour on-site trauma intervention and support service to the\u00a0Blaauwberg.\\<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>community and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Job Title: Permanent Helpline Supervisor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Hours:<\/strong> 24\/7 for seven days on a monthly rotation<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Please indicate your salary expectations<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience in Victim Empowerment environment and counselling<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional telephone etiquette and skills<\/li>\n<li>A valid drivers license and vehicle<\/li>\n<li>Qualification in counselling will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Communication (written and verbal) skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)<\/li>\n<li>A National Senior Certificate<\/li>\n<li>2 to 3 years leadership\/supervisory experience is beneficial<\/li>\n<li>A pro-active and energetic approach and must be a team player<\/li>\n<li>A high service orientated and results driven approach and willing to go the extra mile to resolve client queries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Answers the 24\/7 Helpline to provide prevention, crisis intervention, support counselling and\/or referral information to callers<\/li>\n<li>React immediately, yet calmly, to crisis situations and quickly build rapport with callers<\/li>\n<li>Provide Trauma and Victim Empowerment counselling and follow up support service to clients both telephonically and face to face sessions<\/li>\n<li>Ensure trauma worker is dispatched to attend to victim\/client within 20 minutes of first call received<\/li>\n<li>Provide telephonic briefing and debriefing to trauma worker that is dispatched to scene<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate quarterly team building\/group debriefing with\u00a0 trauma volunteers<\/li>\n<li>Identifying development needs of trauma volunteers in conjunction with management<\/li>\n<li>Administration of supporting documents and resources<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance to CIC policies and operating procedures<\/li>\n<li>Assistance with training of new trauma volunteers<\/li>\n<li>Attendance of appropriate forums, meetings and workshops (incl weekly supervision meetings, monthly trauma team meetings)<\/li>\n<li>Reporting to General Manager<\/li>\n<li>Must be flexible and available after hours<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and autonomously<\/li>\n<li>Team player but also able to work unsupervised\/self-starter<\/li>\n<li>Be confident and show initiative in the position<\/li>\n<li>Maintains confidentiality in a professional manner of all information received, discussed and recorded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ideal candidate will be a mature, resilient team player, that can problem solve and love caring for people.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit your CV and proof of qualifications to Tania Nell at <strong><a href=\"mailto:manager@cic-capetown.org\">manager@cic-capetown.org<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(REF HS)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Friday, 18 October, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Community Intervention Centre (CIC) was established in 2001 and has a small team of dedicated staff and volunteers that provides a free 24-hour on-site trauma intervention and support service to&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
