a:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Social Economic Development Manager\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>The SED Manager will be responsible for managing the social economic development initiatives for the company including identifying and implementing strategic, short and long term objectives to achieve economic development goals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working within the implementation plan<\/li>\n<li>Socializing plan with affected role players internally and externally (all key stakeholders &#8211; local government, municipalities, communities, beneficiaries etc.) \u00a0on key focus areas and plans<\/li>\n<li>Managing the Local Economic Department at operational level and contracted suppliers\/service providers and project managers ensuring fulfilment of project objectives<\/li>\n<li>Creating an annual Action Plan and identifying resources needed to implement the plan<\/li>\n<li>Managing community expectations and constant engagement<\/li>\n<li>Planning and leading each initiative<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with the Community Liaison Officer<\/li>\n<li>Monthly\/Quarterly meetings with the community<\/li>\n<li>Preparing reports to the Department of Energy quarterly on initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring proper governance is in place<\/li>\n<li>Reporting to the Social, Ethics and Remuneration committee on a quarterly basis<\/li>\n<li>Managing pickets, strikes, riots within the community and Project site<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with the IPP Office in terms of quarterly reporting and mange ensure that termination points and penalties are managed<\/li>\n<li>Engaging with the SDI Trust with initiatives planning<\/li>\n<li>Reporting to the CEO and board on progress<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Social Economic Development Manager must meet the follow requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B degree in Social Science \/ Business Administration or equivalent qualification<\/li>\n<li>Diploma\/certificate in Project Management<\/li>\n<li>Total of 3-5 years management experience in SED Project management or Community Development<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 3 years operational Integrated Development Plan experience at local government level<\/li>\n<li>Code B drivers\u2019 licence<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record in similar organisation an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Preferable experience with similar EDO programmes or requirements, experience in other REIPPP projects would be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Corporate Governance, statutory knowledge, knowledge of relevant policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Project Management Skills, Management skills and competencies<\/li>\n<li>Relationship building and networking skills<\/li>\n<li>Financial Management knowledge and competencies<\/li>\n<li>Communication, Strategic, Influencing, Negotiating and
