The Hope Exchange (formerly known as The Carpenter\u2019s Shop) has been operating from Roeland Street in the Cape Town CBD since 1981 and helps the homeless with a comprehensive and integrated range of social services that improves the lives of those living on the street, facilitates human development and leads to reintegration and reunification.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Marketing and Fundraising Executive<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: Reports to:<\/strong> Director<br \/>\n<strong>Start date:<\/strong> Commencing soonest<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position will be to perform various marketing activities that increases The Hope Exchange\u2019s profile and supports awareness and fundraising; and to undertake fundraising activities to secure and grow funding and donor income to meet The Hope Exchange\u2019s strategic objectives and operational plans.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To plan, develop and deliver communications, public relations and marketing functions.<\/li>\n<li>To identify, attract and secure new sponsorships, donations and funding grants.<\/li>\n<li>To write and distribute funding proposals to a targeted number of potential donors, trusts, foundations, institutions and international funders.<\/li>\n<li>To develop, nurture and maintain professional relationships with donors and to steward existing funder relationships.<\/li>\n<li>To support income generation and new business with the marketing of The Hope Exchange\u2019s various social enterprises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of 3-5 years\u2019 experience in Marketing and Fundraising.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).<\/li>\n<li>A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Strong administration, planning and organizing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Action oriented and results driven.<\/li>\n<li>Own transport and a valid driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in digital and social media platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in the MS Office Suite and the ability to use relevant CRM applications.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with, or an understanding of Salesforce will be beneficial.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of the homeless phenomenon.<\/li>\n<li>A strong background in, or an understanding of the NPO sector will be beneficial.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Email your application in the form of a brief introduction and motivation letter (of less than 1 page) with attached CV to<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hr@thehopeexchange.org\">hr@thehopeexchange.org<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Monday, 7 October, 2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Carpenter\u2019s Shop NPC t\/a The Hope Exchange requires a Marketing and Fundraising Executive.
