This applies to undergraduate level degrees in those fields of study which meet the needs and skills requirements of the Group:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Information Technology<\/li>\n<li>Information Systems<\/li>\n<li>Computer Science<\/li>\n<li>Electrical or Electronic Engineering (LC only)<\/li>\n<li>Computer Engineering<!--more--><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At Vodacom, we believe that the success of the business is based on nurturing the talent we have. The selection of graduates is based on the identified needs of the business.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to ensure that we nurture the talent pipeline. We look for graduates with the ability to stretch themselves beyond specialist qualifications, and who understand the real nature of the business.<\/p>\n<p>We have embarked on a journey towards becoming a fully-fledged communications company and we need graduates with skill sets that are different to those required when we were a mobile player.<\/p>\n<p>Convergence is key, so we need people who can adapt to the challenges of moving from one area of business speciality to a more complex business environment.<\/p>\n<p>Vodacom Graduates.Our Graduate Development Programme is anchored around the core functions of the business including Engineering &amp; Technology, Billing &amp; IT and Commercial. Vodacom\u2019s Graduate Programme for Females in Technology (GPFT) is a 3 year-programme designed for candidates with qualifying degrees to learn more about the Telecommunications industry through a hands-on training schedule.<\/p>\n<p>Trisha Naidoo, a previous graduate, adds \u201cIt has been an honour to be part of such an amazing team. The friendships I have made have crossed all boundaries and made me a stronger person. With the right attitude and the right dedication to hard work Vodacom will take you as far as you want to go!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mentoring\u201cThis programme has given me the opportunity to expand on my career in a way that would never have been possible.
