{"id":49835,"date":"2019-10-29T10:20:04","date_gmt":"2019-10-29T08:20:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=49835"},"modified":"2019-10-28T17:44:49","modified_gmt":"2019-10-28T15:44:49","slug":"tb-hiv-investigative-network-think-current-available-job-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/tb-hiv-investigative-network-think-current-available-job-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"TB &#038; HIV Investigative Network (THINK ) Current Available Job Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THINK is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by TB and HIV\/AIDS. \u00a0As a health delivery and research organisation, THINK engages with the local community, government consortia, and international funders to provide care for over 100,000 people in KwaZulu-Natal Province and carries out cutting-edge clinical research that has already contributed to changing TB Treatment Guidelines internationally and locally.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Data Quality Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>THINK_ Doris Goodwin Hospital, Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal Province<br \/>\n<strong> Opportunity Type: <\/strong>Fixed term Contract &#8211; 12 months<br \/>\n<strong>Start Date:<\/strong> 1 February 2020<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aim\u00a0 of Position <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The aim of the SIYENZA Project is to safeguard advances of TB treatment by strengthening the MDR TB health care platform in the uMgungundlovu District. \u00a0The Data Quality Officer will be based at Doris Goodwin Hospital and report to the M&amp;E Coordinator.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate visits with the Monitoring &amp; Evaluation Coordinator in uMgungundlovu District and surrounding sub districts<\/li>\n<li>Submit timely and accurate weekly and monthly reports on activities to the M&amp;E Coordinator<\/li>\n<li>Support Doris Goodwin Hospital and health care facilities to ensure all relevant patient data is accurately captured into the electronic databases such as EDR and TIER.Net<\/li>\n<li>Support the health facilities to generate daily, weekly and monthly EDR line list reports<\/li>\n<li>Conduct data quality audits by comparing program outputs with source documents such as TB registers to ensure data quality<\/li>\n<li>Interact with hospital staff to capture relevant patient-related information<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate and timely information is shared with THINK Linkage Officers to ensure the THINK online application system is maintained<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum requirement of a Matriculation exemption and a tertiary qualification would be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Trained on EDR ad TIER.Net software and\/or previous experience with EDR and TIER.Net data capturing and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years\u2019 experience in working with DOH data (from patient-record level to DHIS level)<\/li>\n<li>Strong IT skills with knowledge of MS Office software packages<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders and clients<\/li>\n<li>Good verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Valid Code 08 Drivers licence Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment soonest.
