In 2009 we opened a Paediatric Medical Step-down Facility\/Hospice to care for children with life limiting and life-threatening illnesses.<\/p>\n<p>The admission age is 0-18 years, the patients are cared for in a 16-bed facility until they are well enough to be discharged back to their families. We work in collaboration with the Public and Private Medical fraternity. Lambano seeks to appoint a Case\/Liaison Coordinator, based in Germiston, Gauteng. Start Date 06 January 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Case\/Liaison Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Germiston, Gauteng<br \/>\n<strong>Start Date:<\/strong> 06 January 2020<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma\/Degree in Nursing<\/li>\n<li>Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse<\/li>\n<li>ICD10 and CPT coding experience.<\/li>\n<li>Valid Driver\u2019s Licence \u2013Valid driver\u2019s licence with acceptable driving record.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to drive different company vehicles and a driving record that demonstrates safe driving practices.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience of Medical Aid administration procedures and Hospital Case<\/li>\n<li>Management<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the rules and regulations regarding medical aid schemes is required<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of patient administration systems, policies and procedures will be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of hospital billing and tariffs<\/li>\n<li>Existing relationships with Hospitals and Medical Aids an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite<\/li>\n<li>Medical report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong partnerships<\/li>\n<li>Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to interact with tact diplomacy<\/li>\n<li>Independent problem solving and decision-making skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to function well in a team<\/li>\n<li>Good accuracy and attention to detail skills to maintain high standards of work output<\/li>\n<li>Understands the inter-relationships between business processes<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a managed healthcare environment will be a strong recommendation<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a customer-focused mindset that acknowledges the value of the customer<\/li>\n<li>A wealth of knowledge regarding patient intake procedures<\/li>\n<li>Ability to market Lambano Sanctuary and bring in patients to the facility<\/li>\n<li>Negotiating Rates with Medical Aids Work Output:<\/li>\n<li>Carry out clinical coding in accordance with CPT and ICD requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ensure authorisation information is accurate and in accordance with hospital procedures<\/li>\n<li>Provide complete and accurate updates and discharge information of all accounts<\/li>\n<li>Keep patients and doctors informed<\/li>\n<li>Handle patient files in accordance with hospital procedures<\/li>\n<li>Timeous electronic submission of accounts and follow up on short payments arising from case management related issues<\/li>\n<li>Keep well informed on legislation pertaining to related care matters<\/li>\n<li>Visits relevant hospitals and doctors to speak about Lambano services<\/li>\n<li>Attend meetings with Hospitals relating to case management<\/li>\n<li>Initiate conversations with potential intake patients<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate conversations with medical aids on behalf of Lambano.<\/li>\n<li>Meet monthly targets of patient in-takes per month<\/li>\n<li>Follow up on billing from patients and medical Aid companies<\/li>\n<li>Strict in following up patients and meeting deadlines Competencies Required:<\/li>\n<li>Must show passion for working with under privileged children;<\/li>\n<li>Creative and innovative;<\/li>\n<li>Good organisational and time management skills;<\/li>\n<li>High stress tolerance with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team but also independently;<\/li>\n<li>Flexible; Adaptable; results oriented, goal achiever,<\/li>\n<li>Out-going personality Professional business acumen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit a CV, and a motivational letter, to <a href=\"mailto:executiveassistant@lambano.org.za\"><strong>executiveassistant@lambano.org.za<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0please put Case Manager\u201d in the subject line.
