This collaboration aims to improve access to palliative care for older people in South Africa through training, support and policy development.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Community District Manager <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Nkangala District<\/p>\n<p>The primary purpose of this position is to manage and co-ordinate the effective implementation of community-based activities as outlined in APACE work plan in order to achieve targets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The\u00a0Successful\u00a0\u00a0Candidate\u00a0Will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Human Resource Management<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Staffing, to direct work of district personnel, recommend training interventions for district staff, quarterly performance reviews, develop, supervise, train and evaluate district staff<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Planning and financial management<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Maintain monthly, quarterly, annual budgets for the district, develop and administer the annual budget for the district<br \/>\nReport on budgeting, ensure cost effective measures are adopted in the project implementation<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Stakeholder Management<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Establish and maintain co-operative working relationships, serve as liaison between district related &amp; internal partners<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Monitoring and Evaluation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Monthly and quarterly submission of district reports, ensure proper uses of assessment tools and analysis of information<br \/>\nImplement quality assurance measures to evaluate the impact of integrating Comprehensive Care and Support on retention and adherence, Implement quality assurance measures to evaluate the impact of the district referral system<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification\u00a0and\u00a0Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ND: \/ Bachelor in Project Management or related field<\/li>\n<li>5 to 7 Year experience in HIV and AIDS or Public Health field<\/li>\n<li>4 Year experience in managing a budget<\/li>\n<li>4 Year experience in M&amp;E and reporting<\/li>\n<li>4 Year experience in a management position<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in MS Office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competency\u00a0Profile:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical, professional knowledge and expertise including analysis, documentation and dissemination of results.<\/li>\n<li>Customer centric focused<\/li>\n<li>Problem solving, and solution focused<\/li>\n<li>Written and verbal communication skills including report writing and analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage high volume work flow with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Building and leading a high-performance team<\/li>\n<li>Change leadership<\/li>\n<li>Stress tolerance<\/li>\n<li>Conflict handling<\/li>\n<li>Innovative thinking<\/li>\n<li>Customer Centric Focus<\/li>\n<li>Compassion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please submit a detailed CV, covering letter and names of three contactable references including email contact to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:hr@hpca.co.za\">hr@hpca.co.za<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Wednesday, 6<sup>th<\/sup> November 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Hospice Palliative Care Association of South Africa (HPCA)\u00a0has a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with The Association for the Aged (TAFTA).
