{"id":49992,"date":"2019-11-05T13:23:07","date_gmt":"2019-11-05T11:23:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=49992"},"modified":"2019-11-05T13:23:07","modified_gmt":"2019-11-05T11:23:07","slug":"robin-trust-latest-available-job-opportunity-apply-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/robin-trust-latest-available-job-opportunity-apply-now.html","title":{"rendered":"Robin Trust Latest Available Job Opportunity &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Robin Trust is a registered NPO (based on a Christian ethos) offering health care and related services, located in the Oude Molen Eco Village, Pinelands, Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p>We provide sub-acute hospitalisation, frail and dementia (Alzheimer\u2019s) residential care, training to both home based carers and nurses as well as community health care services through our \u201cCommunity care @ home\u201d programme.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Bookeeper <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Directly to the Finance Manager<\/p>\n<p>and is responsible for meeting the needs of managers, employees, students and the Trustees through the management and co-ordination of all Robin Trust activities in line with the strategic and operational objectives<\/p>\n<p>We welcome applications from all who qualify for the post of: Bookkeeper<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparing and communicating monthly and annual financial statements and other reports as required<\/li>\n<li>Maintain Fixed Asset Register<\/li>\n<li>Manage and supervision of Debtors Clerk and Creditors Clerk<\/li>\n<li>Reconciling all creditors, debtors and petty cash accounts<\/li>\n<li>General Ledger and intercompany loan reconciliations<\/li>\n<li>Process journal entries<\/li>\n<li>Maintain internal control systems and identify weaknesses and recommend improvements<\/li>\n<li>Full salaries and wages administration, completion and submission of all third party and statutory returns<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that VAT reconciliations are completed and the necessary returns submitted timeously<\/li>\n<li>Budget preparation in conjunction with the Financial Manager<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating all audit activities<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that Finance and Administration team performance is monitored and managed<\/li>\n<li>Control of and reporting on Robin Trust bursary scheme<\/li>\n<li>Overall management responsibility and accountability for:<\/li>\n<li>Procurement<\/li>\n<li>Repairs and maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Any adhoc tasks required to assist the Financial Manager<\/li>\n<li>To be considered for the role, you\u2019ll need the following:<\/li>\n<li>Diploma in Finance<\/li>\n<li>8 years bookkeeping experience up to Balance Sheet\/Trial Balance<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of Sage Evolution and MS Excel<\/li>\n<li>Sage VIP knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.<\/li>\n<li>Honesty and Integrity<\/li>\n<li>Ability to meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Strong Work Ethic<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Robin Trust is a fast-growing Christian NPO established in 1993.
