This collaboration aims to improve access to palliative care for older people in South Africa through training, support and policy development.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Testing, Linkage &amp; Retention Mentor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>South Africa<\/p>\n<p>The primary purpose of this position is to manage, coordinate and provide technical guidance to APACE field team in the implementation of community-based HIV Testing Services (HTS), referral and linkage to care and Adherence Support Services.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Coordinate Targeted Community HIV Testing Services (HTS) as per HPCA annual Work plan<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Coordinate the availability of resources for the provision of community-based HTS;<br \/>\nCoordinate HTS activities (Lay Counsellors and Testing Linkage &amp; Retention Officers, Linkage Officers) at community level and provide technical guidance to leverage critical entry points for HIV case finding;<br \/>\nDevelop and implement targeted community strategies;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Strengthen Active Referral &amp; Linkage to care as per HPCA annual Work plan<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Provide technical guidance to TLROs, LCs &amp; LOs to refer HIV positive clients from community to facility for early linkage to care and, treatment initiation;<br \/>\nCollaborate with District stakeholders in the promotion of community linkage and support services and effective implementation of districts bidirectional referral system;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Strengthen Adherence Support and Retention in Care As per HPCA annual Workplan<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Collaborate with CBOs and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to mobilize demand for HIV treatment services and promote retention in care;<br \/>\nProvide technical guidance and oversight on strengthening community-based adherence support<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Performance Monitoring and Reporting as per HPCA annual Work plan<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Contribute to project writing, reporting and submissions<br \/>\nEnsure proper use of assessment tools and analysis of information<br \/>\nSupport the implementation of a quality assurance system in the District<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Human Resources Management and Coordination<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ensure staff meets funder requirement targets timeously.<br \/>\nCompile monthly, quarterly, annually, and ad hoc reports according to program requirements.<br \/>\nReview and report on the performance of staff Bi-annually and ensure compliance with HPCA Policies &amp; funder requirements<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Administration<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Submit weekly plans to achieve work plan targets to direct supervisor<br \/>\nEnsure timeous submission of travel requisitions, claims and timesheets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ND: \/ bachelor\u2019s in health, Public Health or related field<\/li>\n<li>Nursing degree (advantageous)<\/li>\n<li>5-7 years\u2019 experience in HIV and AIDS or Public Health field<\/li>\n<li>3-5 years\u2019 experience in HIV Testing Services and application of testing modalities<\/li>\n<li>3-4 years\u2019 experience in Referral Systems and pathways, linkage and Retention in Care<\/li>\n<li>2 Years Minimum experience working in management\/coordination position<\/li>\n<li>Experience working at community level (advantageous)<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in MS Office<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical, Professional knowledge and expertise<\/li>\n<li>Problem Solving Skills<\/li>\n<li>High level of attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Change Leadership<\/li>\n<li>Excellent Communication<\/li>\n<li>Conflict handling<\/li>\n<li>Innovative thinking<\/li>\n<li>Self-Reliance<\/li>\n<li>Building and Leading high performance<\/li>\n<li>Compassion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please submit a detailed CV, covering letter and names of three contactable references including email contact to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hr@hpca.co.za\"><strong>hr@hpca.co.za<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications Deadline: <\/strong>Monday, 11<sup>th<\/sup> November 2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0It is a requirement that the successful applicant resides within the district of work.
