The centre is looking for an auxiliary social worker to work in Kya sands informal settlement. This programme aims at assessing the needs of children in informal settlements and providing basic support.<\/p>\n<p>This is a great opportunity to gain experience, develop employability skills and help build your community.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Auxiliary Social Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p><strong>Remuneration:<\/strong> PCHS is an NPO but will offer a stipend<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Conduct home visits to understand family &amp; community dynamics and needs<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Profile children &amp; youth living in Kya sands informal settlement using both secondary and primary research data.<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Provide counselling sessions to both children and youth at the centre<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Play an active role in writing proposals for relevant support requirements and facilitate intervention strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Be registered with the South African Council for Social Services Profession<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Police clearance<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Fluency in multiple South African languages<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li class=\"rtejustify\">Computer literacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\"><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">If you are interested in making available your expertise to serve the community on a volunteer Basis, please submit a CV with at least 3 contactable references, the subject of your email should mention the subject you are applying for, send to<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:volunteer@pndprojects.co.za\">volunteer@pndprojects.co.za<\/a><\/strong>.
