SRAN exists to share evidence and strengthen advocacy and action to realise SRHR for all in Southern Africa and globally.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sexrightsafrica.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.sexrightsafrica.net<\/a>\u00a0platform is managed by the AIDS Foundation of South Africa and supported by the Embassy of Sweden in Lusaka, Zambia. It also hosts Trainers Lab (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.trainerslab.net\/\">www.trainerslab.net<\/a>), a global hub for SRHR trainers, supported by Aids funds in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>AFSA requires a Sex Rights Africa Network Coordinator to engage and support members and users of the Sex Rights Africa (SRAN) online networking hub. The position will be based at the Organisation\u2019s Head Office in Durban and will be for a fixed term period ending 31 March 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Sex Rights Africa Network Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>South Africa<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of Job:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Sex Rights Africa Network Coordinator is responsible for member engagement and support of the Sex Rights Africa Network, to maximise the level of active and effective participation in efforts to advance SRHR in Eastern and Southern Africa and beyond.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To support, promote and expand membership of the Sex Rights Africa Network.<\/li>\n<li>Developing the resource database of the website.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in planning Regional SRAN Meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Planning and co-ordinating regional advocacy campaigns.<\/li>\n<li>Developing and publishing research and policy briefs to support advocacy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A post-graduate degree in Social Science or Public Health- A qualification in Marketing or related field will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>+ 3 years\u2019 experience in a similar or related position focusing on SRHR\/ grassroots mobilisation \/ movement building.<\/li>\n<li>3+ years marketing experience.<\/li>\n<li>2+ years consumer\/ community internet experience.<\/li>\n<li>Track record in member engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in online network development.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of website development.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of SRHR issues in Eastern and Southern Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent research and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in blogging.<\/li>\n<li>Competence in Swahili or Portuguese will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested persons need to submit a brief CV, along with cover letter and copies of certificates, ID and links with social media pages and\/or blogs with the reference \u201c<strong>SRAN Coordinator<\/strong>\u201d in the subject line via emails to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@aids.org.za\"><strong>recruitment@aids.org.za<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<strong>Please note that applications received after this date or with missing information will not be considered<\/strong>.
