{"id":50219,"date":"2019-11-20T16:16:36","date_gmt":"2019-11-20T14:16:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=50219"},"modified":"2019-11-20T16:16:36","modified_gmt":"2019-11-20T14:16:36","slug":"miet-africa-latest-available-job-opportunity-apply-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/miet-africa-latest-available-job-opportunity-apply-now.html","title":{"rendered":"MIET AFRICA Latest Available Job Opportunity &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MIET AFRICA, an education and development NGO based in Durban.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Communications and Advocacy Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Morningside, Durban<br \/>\n<strong>Remuneration:<\/strong> will be negotiated with the successful applicant.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this position is to support the Communications and Materials Production Manager.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conceptualise, develop, write and disseminate messages, information and results (both internal and external) of MIET AFRICA\u2019s work to a variety of audiences (including donors, stakeholders, beneficiaries, government officials, school communities) and through a variety of vehicles and means (including social media, multimedia platforms, website, newsletters, reports and other printed materials)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to conceptualise campaigns and utilise innovative means to do so<\/li>\n<li>Plan and implement all social media activities and calendars as required<\/li>\n<li>Website and social media maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Maintain communications and production filing system: folders and files (electronic and hard copy)<\/li>\n<li>Proofreading and editing as required<\/li>\n<li>Administration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant qualification (Journalism\/ Communications or equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum three years\u2019 communications\/social media\/content creation experience.
