Through a combination of interventions, we on average, assist between 16 000 to 20 000 beneficiaries a year. GBT core focus is to remove the obstacles and barriers that prevent children from finding their light and helping them to Shine.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Service Consultant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Pinelands Office, Western Cape<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Basic salary plus incentives, medical Aid, pension, life and disability cover benefits.<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> Regional Fundraising Manager<br \/>\n<strong>Employment type:\u00a0<\/strong>This is a permanent position<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience Required:<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of previous selling and fundraising experience required.<\/li>\n<li>Customer service experience is a requirement<\/li>\n<li>Personality, Attribute and Abilities<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must be self-motivated and mature<\/li>\n<li>Bilingualism an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Able to work within a team environment<\/li>\n<li>Have a valid driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<li>Like to work with people face to face and telephonically<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Duties of the Service Consultant<\/li>\n<li>Face to face appointments with donors<\/li>\n<li>Attend functions<\/li>\n<li>Produce targeted number of fundraising proposals per month<\/li>\n<li>Service Donor portfolio<\/li>\n<li>Meet Donor feedback requirements<\/li>\n<li>Increase existing Debit Orders<\/li>\n<li>Retain existing donors<\/li>\n<li>Re-instate cancelled or lapsed donors<\/li>\n<li>Service and increase existing cash contribution targets<\/li>\n<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7 Demonstrate a willingness to learn and update your skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and maintain efficiencies with attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Must be persuasive, donor focused, assertive and result driven.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This position will suit a responsible person who is prepared to work according to the Girls<br \/>\nand Boys Town South Africa values.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit CV and a one page motivation letter to<strong> <a href=\"mailto:kgovinden@gbtown.org.za\">kgovinden@gbtown.org.za<\/a>.<\/strong> \u00a0If you do not hear from us within 2 weeks of your applications submission, please deem your application unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Friday, 29 November, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Established in 1958, Girls and Boys Town (GBT) is a national non-profit organisation that runs proven and successful programmes to strengthen vulnerable youth.
