{"id":50425,"date":"2019-12-06T13:26:19","date_gmt":"2019-12-06T11:26:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=50425"},"modified":"2019-12-02T14:41:53","modified_gmt":"2019-12-02T12:41:53","slug":"hivsa-recent-available-employment-vacancy-apply-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/hivsa-recent-available-employment-vacancy-apply-now.html","title":{"rendered":"HIVSA Recent Available Employment Vacancy &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HIVSA is a not for profit company which was established in 2002 with a full time staff compliment\u00a0 of over 100 members and is a strategic partner of the Gauteng Provincial Departments of Health and Social Development.<\/p>\n<p>HIVSA empowers individuals, community workers and organisations by developing their capacity and resilience to effectively address socio-economic and health issues in the context of high HIV and AIDS burden with the ultimate vision of creating an HIV free generation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Community Systems Strengthening Social Worker\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Gauteng<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this position is to\u00a0oversight and direction from the Project Manager, the Social Worker is responsible for the coordination and implementation of all interventions which includes championing strategies that ensure that at least 20% of HIV positive children and OVC&amp;Y are enrolled into programmes at implementing sites. This includes programming and organisational (institutional) capacity building of CBOs through trainings, mentorship, quality improvement and monitoring of data for integrity. The Social Worker will be tasked with mainstreaming quality in all programme activities by continually assessing programme performance and addressing challenges. This position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of OVC&amp;Y programming issues, as well as a high degree of initiative, independent judgment and communication abilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Social Work degree and registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working in the field of organisational\/institutional development and child protection\/OVCY programming.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in training and implementing evidence based curriculum such as Vhutshilo, Let\u2019s Talk, Economic Strengthening (ASPIRES) and Thogomelo will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supervising Social Auxiliary workers and\/or Caregivers.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent facilitation and mentorship skills.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to engage communities using different methodologies.<\/li>\n<li>Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and within a team setting.<\/li>\n<li>Sound decision making, problem solving and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage time, work under pressure and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to speak a minimum of two African languages, especially Zulu and Sotho.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent report writing skills, computer and power point presentation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Must have a valid driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n<li>Required to drive self and in some cases, fellow team members, to sites and meetings using HIVSA fleet or own vehicle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Social Worker will be responsible on a daily basis for the smooth operation of programme activities including case finding, recruitment and enrolment of expected HIV Positivity quotas at allocated sites.
