One to One Africa is an organization that works with vulnerable and traumatised children, helping to transform the lives of those affected by disease, trauma and disability.<\/p>\n
The organisation has been working in Africa for more than 15 years, in partnership with local organisations. It focuses largely on issues surrounding HIV\/AIDS and has facilitated significant improvements in access to treatment and quality of care throughout Southern Africa.<\/p>\n

Job Title: Community Nurse <\/strong> Remuneration:<\/strong> R190 000 \u2013 R200 000 per annum TCTC, depending on skills and experience.<\/p>\n The purpose of this position is to\u00a0provide home-based care and support for improving maternal and child health, and in particular, preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV, in the Eastern Cape through the Mentor Mother model.\u00a0The Community Nurse will be expected to live in the area during the week. Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n The Enable Community Nurse is a community-based outreach health worker who is responsible for managing a group of approximately 25 Mentor Mothers (MMs) and supporting the programme with his\/her clinical knowledge.<\/p>\n They will report to the Site Manager.<\/p>\n The role is primarily field-based and involves walking house-to-house through difficult terrain on a daily basis to provide Mentor Mothers with support, supervision, and guidance, as well as identifying serious cases to be referred to local clinics and\/or hospitals.<\/p>\n
