Job Title:\u00a0Psychosocial Trainer (TS\/Psycho\/GR)<\/strong> <\/p>\n The position demands that Life Skills and Psychosocial Trainers is competent in providing psychosocial support and life skill education and is willing to learn new content and training methods<\/p>\n Technical Work Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n Training and Mentoring (Drs, Nurses, Counsellors, lay people etc.) Psychosocial Support Training and Mentoring<\/strong> Requirements<\/strong> Experience:<\/strong> Computer Skills

\nLiaise with internal and external customers
\nGeneral<\/p>\n
\n-Create all training material used to train counsellors and other health care professionals on issues related to psychosocial support of people infected with HIV and TB
\n-Train counsellors and health care professionals on issues related to psychosocial support of people infected by HIV and TB
\n-Use appropriate questioning techniques, reflective listening and suitable exploratory activities to identify needs, issues and aspirations
\n-Make use of relevant adults learning principles.
\n-Implement learning materials that reflect current information and skills and diverse learning skills
\n-Assist learners in gaining and utilizing skills necessary to participate in community and society
\n-Provide support to learners
\n-Participate and work cooperatively with a team environment.
\n-Take active part in meetings.
\n-Maintain learner attendance and records of progress toward skill development
\n-Conduct training on psychosocial topics
\n-Conduct pre-and post-testing counselling
\n-Ability to critically reflect on the psychosocial programme by developing abstracts<\/p>\n
\nMinimum Requirements:
\nQualification \/ Professional Membership
\nApplicable Certificate in Psychology\/Counselling, Social work
\nAdvantageous
\n-Teaching\/Training certificate
\n-Train the trainer certificate
\n-Assessors certificate
\n-Presentation\/Facilitation skills<\/p>\n
\n-At least 2 years Training Experience
\n-At least 3 years\u2019 experience in psychosocial support and life skills
\n-Debriefing skills
\n-Counselling skills<\/p>\n
\n-Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, and routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet and graphics, efficient in Microsoft office,
\n-Excel and PowerPoint
\nOther:
\n-Prioritize, organize and delegate assignments
\n-Ability to work under pressure
\n-Tenacity and Resilience
\n-Ability to work in teams
\n-Extensive overnight travel (up to 50%) by land or air if required
\n-Extensive experience and understanding of TB and HIV\/AIDS
